Just wondering any of the Mayo lads have any images / details of the plans for re-development of McHale Park?
There is a serious lack of info on it if you go looking for it
I know they are building a new stand, corporate area, meuseum, player facilities which is all good, however what about the general areas of the ground?
I am afraid that we will end up with a lovely stand but be still sitting on concrete while they call it an 'all seater venue' - i believe there are no plans to bolt bucket seats to the concrete terracing which you would be first in any upgrade and surely would not cost much of the 10m budget.
Generally with GAA grounds, they tend to renovate / develop bit by bit and you never get a proper job done and indeed in the long term more money is wasted with this approach.
Would like to see Mayo Gaa board giving us a full details and the programme, etc for the development - we are the people who will end up paying for a lot of it.
Maybe its on their web page, but it abbears to be locked from my PC (tut, tut!!!!!)
