Anybody on here got any thoughts on who will take the Ashes this year?

Will the Aussies prove too strong like '07 with another whitewash or will the English pull something special out of the bag like in '05??

It should be a good series if the weather stays any way decent.

Anybody who has been to Oz aroud this time of year will have come across and probably gotten caught up in the NRL's State of Origin series. For those who have not ye are missing out. It is probably the closest thing the Aussies have to an All Ireland series. I know that the rivalry is intense in the AFL but this is proper representative footy with team mate v's team mate biffing it out to win the three match series for their state of origin either New South Wales or Queensland. The atmosphere is electric especially in the Suncorp stadium and it attracts full houses when played in Melbourne or Sydney. It was also the series which got me into league and now I have to say it would be my preference over union. Maybe not super league but def NRL.

Anyway the reason I am posting this tread is to find out if there is anybody out there who thinks it is after getting a bit stale what with the Maroonswinning it again this year to make it four in a row. Is there anything that can be done to liven it up a little such as allowing players born outside of either state but playing in one of the other states to play for them. I'm talking about Kiwi's and Islanders here and not those born on the mainland. It's just a question and one I am sure most people are not that interested in. A bit like this thread really i suppose.
