Hello everyone,
I am a parent of two boys in the Artane Band and I would like to ask the members of gaaboard.com for help...
The Artane Band (Registered Charity No. 10025) has been invited to Boston in August to help them celebrate the Boston GAA 50th anniversary.The Band are also playing in many engagements for the Irish & Boston Irish Cultural associations during their tour.
We are actively seeking support in our fundraising effort, which requires that we raise over € 75,000 to ensure that all of the Band (63 musicians) reaches Boston.
The Artane Band, no more so than any club, or charity, relies heavily on the goodwill of people like yourselves, to help supplement funding, and we do need the help to keep the band marching on into the future, so that some day, maybe one of your kids will line out behind them in Croke Park.
If you or your club would like to help the band, you can donate to the Artane School of Music, directly via our Charity Website www.mycharity.ie and search for us under the "Music" tab.
