GAA Discussion / Croke Park Seating
July 30, 2012, 09:36:08 AM
Apologies if there's a thread on this already but does anyone know which rows are covered in the lower decks of the Hogan and Cusack. Weather is promising bad for the weekend and would rather buy tickets that are out of the rain especially as I am getting them early in the week. I am being offered row E in the Hogan (which I know is out in the open as only five rows from the front) and row K in the Cusack, which could be covered.
I remember taking note of this when at a game last year and thinking that it was when you hit the double letter rows AA, BB etc that you are covered but was wondering does anyone know for sure?

On another note I went to buy the 'football feast' package tickets, which I have bought the last couple of years, which is the two quarters days and two semis and is great value for 90 euro, but the hoors have them taken down after the draw at the weekend! :(

When are these due to be played? Hardly have all four on the bank holiday weekend as has become traditional due to Armagh v Wicklow draw or am i wrong? Also have we any idea of who might play who or is it a pure open draw?

Finally does anyone know have the gaa released details of the 'football feast' etc tickets that allowed you buy ticks to two quarters and two semis for what was a good price last year?

GAA Discussion / GAA stars in politics
May 19, 2010, 06:32:58 PM
A mate of mine is doing politics in college and they were doing some study on celebrities in Irish politics and he brought up the topic in the pub the other night. we were tryin to think of GAA players who went for election be they local or national.
The main ones were obvious successful ones like John O'Mahony, Jimmy Deenihan, Jack Lynch etc and a couple of failures that came up like Graham Geraghty (what the fcuk were FG thinking of!) and John O'Leary the ex Dublin goalkeeper.

Any more spring to mind lads??

GAA Discussion / GAA championship Stats website

I remember seeing a link to a website here before that gives counties championship histories eg head to heads against each county and stuff like that. Anyone know the name of it?

Reckon Wicklow could cause a minor upset in this one. League form was poor but Micko won't be worrying about that and the return of Thomas Walsh is a huge boost. Any thoughts?

Can anyone recall who has got the RTE All Ireland final Man of the Match over the years?
Cooper in 04 and 07, O'Mahony in 06... Any more??
I reckon Enda McGinley for this year...
