Hurling Discussion / Best keeper hurls
April 02, 2013, 08:44:53 PM
Hi, having problems with finding good keeper hurls. Many seem to be too heavy, due to size of bas or break easily just through pucking out.

Any suggestions on and good keeper hurls about, thanks.

GAA Discussion / dropping for the sake of dropping!!!
November 23, 2011, 11:12:18 AM
have noticed over the past couple of weeks, new inter county managers 'weilding the axe' on last years panels. But are these justified, or is it just a case of 'stamp' their authority by making big decisions that shock people. seanie johnston is one of the best forwards in Ireland and yet has been dropped from the cavan panel. New galway hurling manager has dropped players like damien joyce (last years captain) and Ger farragher (long range free taker) from his panel. Limerick manager John Allen has also made some surprising calls. These are some of the best players in ireland, never mind their own county. and yes I am all for change, if counties are not successful, somthing will have to change but i am gobsmacked at the exclusion of some of these players. I personally feel that that managers are just excluding people to show who is boss....Maybe these men are just on a power trip? maybe im totally wrong in my thought process! any other people have different opinions?

GAA Discussion / mickey harte - dead man act
February 27, 2010, 01:58:42 PM
just read an article from yersterdays irish news, speaking about the joe mcmahon red card against mayo. he was quoted as saying the mayo player played the 'dead man act' to get mcmahon sent off. just thought it very funny considering his own players have used the old dead man act themselves to get players sent off. philip jordan with his snipper/dead man act in the 2003 all ireland final to get diarmuid marsden sent off. also brian mcguigans dead man act in the 2003 ulster final to get gregory mc cartan sent off. (didnt know a oneills football was that hard). mickey, justin timberlake released a good song that you may want to listen to a few times...what goes around, come around!!!
