Don't see any thread up on this yet.

Dublin are red hot favourites (and rightly so) but i know the Wexford team are quietly confident. The memories of the 2008 showing are still raw for us Wexford supporters, but we will be hoping for a performance closer to last year when we really should have beaten the Dubs in the first round. In my opinion this Wexford team is far better than the one that reached the all-ireland semi in 2008. Much stronger at midfiled, tighter full back line and a better spread of scoring forwards. (but minus Matty). How we deal with the two Brogans is going to be key for us, stop them and you stop the dubs (but how you do it is a different story).

What de ye reckon?

GAA Discussion / Galway v Wexford

Just booked the hotel down in Galway and lookin forward to this match now. Wexford had a handy game to re-group after the heartbreak of blowing the dublin game. Hopefully the lads will be well up for this and i'd be quitefully confident of getting a result. It will be hard for Galway to get back on track after losing against sligo but home playing at home will be a big advantage. If Meehan plays or not will probably have a huge bearing on the game. Does anyone know the status of his and Nicky Joyces injuries?

GAA Discussion / Wexford v Kildare

Everyone seems to be writing us off this year, not hard i suppose after our disasterous League run. Still we reached an all-ireland semi last year and in theory a good team shouldn't turn bad over night. Matty will be missing for the match, which is obvioulsy a huge loss, but Red Barry should be back after missing all the League.

Kildare looked awful impressive yesterday in the first half, great foot passing and running all over the place. Still Offally stuck it up to them well in the second half and I'd be hoping that wexford would be a lot stronger physically than that very young and light offally side.

No confident of a win, but will be heading to the game in hope of one.

GAA Discussion / Leinster final Wexford v Dublin

Really looking forward to this game. Should be a cracker, Wexford play a real attacking style of football so there is going to be loads of scores. The dubs will be hot favourities (and rightly so) but this Wexford team aren't to be underestimated.  I for one am hoping that our unbeaten record this year last for at least one more game.

What do the rest of ye think?

GAA Discussion / Wexford v Meath

Two weeks time in Dr. Cullen Park. Any thoughts?

Wexford have a very good record against Meath of late, beating them handy the last two times they met. Still Meath looked fierce impressive against an albeit dire Carlow team. Kicked points for fun even without the suspended players. Really looking forward to this game, Wexford seem well below the radar this year despite being the only unbeaten team in the league. Suits us nicely. There is a feeling down in the southeast that there could be a Leinster final in this crop of players. We will soon see.
