Hurling Discussion / Sliotars
May 21, 2008, 03:17:22 PM
Just curious to know if any hurlers out there have any comment on sliotars from O'Neills at the moment?  Lads in our club feel they're a different bouncier ball entirely from last year, but O'Neills are saying they're the same spec?

General discussion / CSS Help?
May 16, 2008, 12:33:15 PM
Haven't touched web stuff in ages and am tearing my hair out with something I know should be straightforward!

I have a table menu that I want to set up with a separate class for visited links so that they remain the same whether visited or not.

In the style sheet I have

}
a.tablemenu:visited {
   font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
   font-size: small;
   color: #FFFFFF;
   }

And then I'm putting <Table class="tablemenu"......> in the table but I'm still getting the standard purple visited link.  What am I missing?

(If I don't use the class I can get it work, but then ALL visited links on the page go white, which isn't what I want)

Help!!

Thanks

Ok, here's the suggestion.

Pick one horse in each of the following races:

Supreme Novices' Hurdle
Arkle
Champion Hurdle
Royal & SunAlliance Chase
Queen Mother Champion Chase
Ryanair Chase
World Hurdle
Racing Post Plate
Triumph Hurdle
Gold Cup

Two of these ten to be identified as your bankers for the week.

Scoring System as follows:

Winner 10 points
2nd 7
3rd 6
4th 5

Failure to complete the course* -2

*Failing to complete the course = Falling, unseating rider, being pulled up, being brought down, slipping up, running out, refusing at the start, refusing a fence/hurdle.

Bonus points will also be awarded to winning horses, depending on SP, as follows:

Evens and up to 2-1      1 pt
Over 2-1 and up to 3-1  2 pts
Over 3-1 and up to 4-1  3 pts
Over 4-1 and up to 5-1  4 pts
Over 5-1 and up to 8-1  5 pts
Over 8-1 and up to 12-1 6 pts
Over 12-1 and up to 20-1 7 pts
Over 20-1 10 pts

Note: Victorious horses with SP's lower than evens will not receive an SP bonus

Banker selections earn double points. For example, a 25-1 winner scores 40 points (20 for the win, 20 for the SP bonus). A banker who fails to complete the course will score -4 points, instead of -2.

In the event of a dead-heat for one of the first six places in any of the 10 races, both horses will score full points for the places involved.

Happy enough? If so, start posting your selections.
