ok first get rid of provincial championships or play them early in the  year. Hhave two tiers 4 groups of 4 each team play each other twice so each team with  home and away games. First two in each group through to the quarter finals  to be play at group winners home stadium. The teams that finish bottom of the group go into relegation playoffs in the relegation  playoffs winners of the 1st round games are safe from relegation the two losers then meet in a game and the loser is relgated to be replace by the champions of 2nd tier.

2nd tier same format  4 groups of 4 teams  you could also make the teams that come 3rd in 2nd tier groups play for a 3rd tier trophy.

if you are feeling really greedy you could have two groups of 8 instead og quarter finals.

why Do we have two competitions  and why is county championship more prestigious than a league championship is it just because you advanced to provincial championship if you win it.If you going to have a league and a championship then why not have the county championship open to all teams in the county why not make it like fa cup of the county and have all teams in it except reserve teams. If you have a league then the lower leagues act as intermediate and junior championships anyway so why not make the county championship open to all teams unseeded draw.

Also would like to see if we made the county league the county championship in tyrone id like to see a 6 or 8 team playoff   or a staggered  playoff between the top 8 teams where the top team is in the final and teams  play up a ladder so 8 would play 7 then winner plays 6 and so on.

Could this point be made as connaght have 3 teams in division 1 thats 60 percent of their teams and you could say leinster is weak and dublin have it easy in the championship every year

I think this would be a better system than we have now give the league winner a bye to final and then 2nd v 3rd with 2nd getting home advantage maybe even the idea of giving the league winner home advantage too in the final or play at neutral .That would mean coming 1st would be significant i would do this in all the football divisions it would also mean less dead rubbers on last day and it would also mean your nearly always either playing to come in the top 3 or trying to avoid relegation. I know they use to have a 4 team playoff in division  i think this would be a compromise

All this talk of counties merging and counties splitting why not do more to promote the club game and maybe restructure the all ireland club championship maybe a 32 team open tournament for all county champions get rid of provincial championships have it like old european club champions cup you could bring in teams outside ireland too.

have games live on rte2 on friday nights saturday and sunday  with a final on a saturday at like 4pm

Saturday is a much better day a 4.30pm throw in would be my time playing it. On sunday the majority of the country be working the next day and it does not give people much of a cekeberaton time and time to recover by playing it on sunday.

I also think friday night games need to be looked at again maybe some friday night league games.

I think a county championship should be open to all teams in the county open draw fa cup style knockout. No intermediate or junior championships that is what league play is for have. There could also be the case of getting rid of provincial club championships and having then a fa cup style all ireland knockout with all the county champions.
