Don't know how they could let Connolly off when Brian Farrell got suspended that time.
Both incidents were harmless enough to get red cards for but it seems theres one rule for one and one rule for another.
No consistency whatsoever in the GAA.

It's very hard to listen to Joe Brolly on The Sunday Game at times.
Kildare win and he decides to single out a player and insult him for a performance a year ago.
He thought the controversial point at the end of the Wexford match was funny, doubt he would have felt the same if it was Derry in the same situation.

Great win for us today. Good performances all over the field, especially John Doyle.
100 points in the qualifiers and scoring in 50 consecutive championship matches, what a legend.
Kavanagh's back to his good form and it was great to see Rob Kelly doing well again.
Roll on the quarter final!

I definitely wouldn't scrap the provincials.
It mightn't mean much to Dublin, Kerry etc to win but it gives other counties who don't have a chance of winning the all-ireland something to work towards.
We saw last year what a provincial title meant to roscommon and then today with donegal, first one in 19 years.

When Roscommon are getting next week off because they have to wait for Tyrone vs Armagh I think it'd be fairer to give Derry the extra week too.
To be honest I don't know how that motion to give provincial losers a week off didn't pass.

It's madness letting Cormac Reilly keep messing up games.
As McStay said how could it be a throw ball? It was either a penalty or it went wide?

I'd say Cavan would be the best place for this match as it'd be roughly half way wouldn't it?
Don't think it'd be fair to bring Derry all the way down to Croke Park to play us.
I'd imagine if it was in Croker it'd be a double header with Cork v Down but apparently that's been shown on tv3 saturday night at 7 so that suggests it won't be in Croke Park. Clones has been mentioned too.

Delighted with the win last night. It's great to come out of Navan happy, doesn't happen too often. Some great performances from our lads.

Connolly was very solid in the goals apart from that one dodgy kickout.
The full back line did very well I thought.
McGrillen got a great point. Foley's definitely one of the best full backs in Ireland and I thought McLoughlin did well too.
Gary White was quiet enough, wasn't surprised to see him taken off.
Morgan O'Flaherty had a fine performance but Emmet Bolton was the best at the back.
What price would you have got him to score a goal? He's having a great year.
Flynn did well in the middle considering it was his first match back. Thought he looked a little bit rusty at times but it's great to see him back.
Doyle was a bit quieter than usual but scored some great points.
In the half forward line O'Neill did well. Eoghan O'Flaherty has had better days. I think he holds onto the ball too long at times.
Leper was quieter than usual but he's still one of our best players.
Rob Kelly was quiet, thought he looked a bit sluggish.
Tomas O'Connor had another fine performance, involved in both goals. Wasn't as dominant as in the Laois match but he was on one of the best full backs in the country last night.
Fionn Dowling lacks the experience needed for these big games in my opinion although he didn't do too bad.

Was impressed with the subs.
James Kavanagh made a big difference when he came on. He showed for every ball and there'll be lots of supporters left scratching their heads if he's left on the bench again next weekend.
Flanagan was great when he came on too, did a good job on Sheridan.
Brophy, Sweeney and Lyons all played their part when they came on as well. It's great to know we've such a strong bench.

Roll on next weekend now! Come on the Lilies!

Sickened for poor Hugh Lynch, always thought he was underrated and he was starting to play really well this year. Fingers crossed it's not the cruciate.
I'd say Flynn will come in. Kavanagh could start in the forwards too, he should anyway in my opinion.
I think we're going to be up against it tomorrow but I think we'll win by 1 or 2. Go on the Lilies!

Great performance on Saturday night.
Tomas O'Connor was man of the match for me. He was brilliant.
Delighted to see Mikey Conway coming back.
Mick Foley is having a super season.
Hugh Lynch was great in the middle, especially in the second half.
Great to see James Kavanagh come on and score a goal, I'd start him the next day.
Meath will be tough but if we play as well as we did in the second half against Laois we should beat them!

Absolutely disgraceful refereeing today. Any 50/50 decisions went with Dublin. They were saying on the radio Brogan should have got an oscar for his dive at the end. It was no free. Heartbreaking. The players put in so much effort all year, they supporters spend money following them to all the matches and the least we deserve is a fair game.

Hugely disappointed with management today too. Some ridiculous decisions in my opinion. I would have definitely had Rob Kelly on instead of Sweeney. Starting Ollie Lyons on Brogan in his championship debut was too big of an ask too, McLoughlin should have started in my opinion. Why they brought on Hurley I don't know either? He can't play for the juniors now when Tomas O'Connor was there to bring on or Dowling or Fogarty.

Very disappointing.

Yea I agree about McGrillen. He won't play as bad as he did against them in 2009. I wouldn't be surprised if they put McLoughlin on Bernard Brogan either though.

Yea I'd say Morgan O'Flaherty will play as a sweeper again. It's been working well for us so far anyway and as you say you'd need an extra man dropping back infront of the Brogans.

Same team named that beat Meath:

Shane Connolly
Andrew McLoughlin
Mick Foley
Hugh McGrillen
Gary White
Brian Flanagan
Emmet Bolton
John Doyle
Hugh Lynch
Morgan O'Flaherty
Eoghan O'Flaherty
Eamonn Callaghan
Alan Smith
Tomas O'Connor
James Kavanagh

Really looking forward to this match now.
Can't see many changes from the team that started against Meath.
I'd expect the back to be the same.
Johnny Doyle is fine apparently but Daryl Flynn isn't back doing full training yet so Doyle and Lynch will be midfield.
In the forwards maybe Kelly on for O'Connor.

Who's our best man to mark Bernard Brogan?

Good win for the juniors tonight, not a great match but a win is a win.
Conway played well again as did Fitzpatrick and Ciaran Kelly.
I expected Dublin to put up a better challenge to be honest.
Very small crowd there, hopefully we'll have a lot more supporters at the Leinster final.

As for the seniors I think it's going to be a tight game on the 26th. I think our full back line could be in trouble with the 2 Brogans but if they can keep them reasonably quiet I think we have a good chance of winning. I doubt Flynn will be back but Johnny's doing a great job in midfield so I'd be happy enough to have him there again. Our shooting needs to be improved on alright. Even if we scored half of our wides against Meath that would have given us 25 points which would win most matches. I don't believe we "don't have natural forwards" which is being said a lot lately by the media. We have Doyle who got an All Star last year and was top scorer. Smith and Kavanagh were also nominated for All Stars (Smith in 09, Kav 09 & '10) and both will improve as the year goes on I think. Hopefully it'll be a good game anyway. Looking forward to it. Up the Lilies!
