This is all over the front of the Irish news! What sort of spanner does this over a game of football, the expression of fear on the face of some of the girls playing in this game says it all. If this happenned on the street the culprit would be jailed and this thuggery should have the same punishment! Nobody wants their kids to witness this!!!

Another greatwin for Cross.  Jamie Clarke was the difference.

Question for any of the Cross posters........Was interested to see Jim McConville as Maor Foirne.....Was Gareth O'Neill suspended or just watching game in stand for a better view?  If so mcConville was some replacement to have along the line.

Gareth was suspended and not allowed onto the playing area! Jim was asked to step in and help out and did a great job by all accounts!

Just heard that Danny O'Callaghan won his appeal last nite and is free to play in the final! Very unlike the GAA to act so quickly, but fair play to them!

Another fantaastic performance last night (though did seem to go to sleep for a short period), team are getting better and better, just shows what a difference actually playing a few matches together can make!

Kayal had another cracking match as did Izzy, but has final touch is dreadful sometimes!  ;D
Brown also starting to put in some good performances (though I still don't like him) as is Mulgrew and Wilson, was Ledley even playing last night?
Commons looking a real find.
Hooper and Stokes are looking a great partnership.

Also remember we have players to come back Ki, Cha Du Ri, Maloney, Rogne, Danny, Loovens,  Samaras and young Forrest to name but a few.
The futures bright, the futures Green and White.

Hail Hail

Does anyone else share my opinion that the team have gelled and are playing a lot better since these 2 guys went to the asian cup. i personally don't think they are strong enough physically for the scottish league and am starting to agree with the people who suggested they were only brought in as a money spinning exercise in the asian market!!

Have to say i've watched many a game with bad officials and wrong decisions but to sit and watch that you really have to start to believe that there is an issue with the officials integrity and a sense that they are going to make sure they get Celtic back over the bad press and the strike! The quality of football is poor as is the quality of officials but all you need for a good game is a level of fair play.

Ian Holloway take on Sepp Blatter moving the 2022 Qatar World Cup to the winter.

Quote:
Holloway was also bitterly opposed, saying: "It's gone crazy - I think the world has gone completely on its head.

"We'll just change everything because their weather is really hot.

"What happens to our football and everybody else's that would be playing through it? Do we just stop for a while? Genius, absolutely magnificent.

"I'm going to go home and tell my turkeys 'It's not Christmas, we're moving it - it's all right, you've got some respite! I've had a word with FIFA and we're going to move Christmas, it's no problem'."

Everytime this clown speaks it's great entertainment, but sometimes and not very often there are a few home truths in it!

From BBC NI:

Armagh are to sell the naming rights for their new 19,500-capacity stadium which is due to be opened in February.

The county's Athletic Grounds venue has been redeveloped and includes a new 5,600-seat stand and a covered terrace accommodating 2,500 spectators.

"We are offering a great opportunity for a brand to be associated with what will be one of the top sporting venues in Ireland," said official Paul Kelly.

Armagh's first match at the new venue will be against Dublin on 5 February.

Other features in the £4.5m scheme are dressing rooms, medical facilities, 36 turnstiles and improved access for disabled spectators.

Kelly, chairman of the My Armagh development body, added: "The stadium will be the home of major National League, Ulster and All-Ireland qualifiers matches for football and hurling.

"It will also host, through time, hundreds of club championship games at all levels for football, hurling and camogie."

A few suiters might include,

Club Orange

Applegreen

Think you will find that two yellow cards are followed by a red! TK got them himself. you cant have it both ways! Cross must pay out some fees after these games

Think you will find that NG tried to rough cross up from the throw in, obviously trying to stop us get off to a flying start as we have done in the last few games but class shines through! Nobody can accuse us of being cynical in this game!!! Fair play to them for a good, hard fought game and I'm sure they'll be back again but this cross team are far from finished!
