Do mobile phones work like a real phone-box except you can use them anywhere?

;D ;D ;D

I just got the new Samsung Galaxy S last week, must admit its the first time I've fallen in love with something non-alcohol related.

Think I got a fairly good deal in phone 4 u - got the handset free, 2 free "emergency" samsung handsets, free accessory kit, free in car charger, free car cradle, free memory card, free bluetooth headset, free dongle with £10 on it, free prepaid card (one of them bad boys you use for booking flights, with no added card fees and free luggage allowance), erm...forget what else.

I would use a fair few texts andcalls and stuff, so I got 600 free minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited downloads for £35 per month.

Am as happy as a spide after his first sniff of the day!

Paranormal Activity is scary.

Paranormal activty 2 is coming out in October.

Can't seem to get much info for it yet, they appear to be keeping it rightly under wraps.  Anyone seen the trailer for it yet??

You'd need some serious self-control to do the job. A couple near us broke up as he was a driving instructor and couldn't help himself when training hot females. Nothing illegal or anything I might add - just pure flirtation and maybe the odd date!
Aye I know that one all too well!  I learned to drive in Belfast, and thought the driving instructor was a nice bloke, bit flirty, but only a bit of craic I thought.  Till he got me to drive the whole cut to Bangor one night and then asked me to "park"  :-[

Last place I worked in, I was the accountant there.  Maintenance guy borrowed one of the company cars to go and pick up some parts.  On the way back he was in an accident - not his fault - and had some damage done to the car.
When he came back to the office and told me (I had to contact the insurance company), being genuinely concerned I asked was he ok.  He said "Aye I'm 100%, just a bit shook up"  I just said to mind himself as whiplash could still set in.
Next day asked the same thing, and he was still injury free.

Insurance company following it up a few weeks later asked if he was going to put in for personal injury.  Knowing that he was not injured I asked him anyway. His response?
"Fuc&ing hell yes of course.  I have a deposit an all done for a new bike off the back of this".

I took a notion last year to start to learn Irish again - hadn't done it since 1st-3rd year in school.  I did all that checking round too, for the rosetta type courses, but then I found that Belfast Met college does evening classes.

I started with the beginners level, which was 2 hours, one night a week for 15 weeks and it only costs £55.
Best decision I could have made!
The teacher that we have is adamant that yeah while we will learn the vocabulary set out by the college, he would rather that we learn conversational Irish rather than book Irish.  We spend most of the class actually having conversations in Irish, imo you pick things up so much quicker that way.
We were also lucky in that one of the girls in the class is from Kildare, and still remembers a fair bit of Irish from school, so we are getting to learn Donegal Irish, and hearing her pronounciations / phrases as well.

After level 1, we all went onto level 2 and are all intending on heading to level 3 in September (its a year long one).

Anyway, my (long drawn out) point is, if you can go to class then do!  You will stick at it, meet a fair number of other people in the same boat as you, and will pick it up far quicker than if you were just doing it by yourself in the house!  :)

Main Street - truthfully have no idea! You could be absolutely right, have no idea what the lurcher mix was.  Some wee man stopped me in the park with him one day asking 20 questions.  He trains gun dogs and was very interested (either that or as nosy as hell).  He thought there might have been husky or lab in him.

Hardy - that is one hell of a device!  I wonder if it could be also used to stop any mates that try to leave the pub before closing time....

My MMA coach suffered from Sciatica, and he went to see yer man Raymond Knox in Moira - the one with the bionic hand device.
It took a few sessions, and he admitted that it was painful, but it sorted him out.  He said afterwards that he felt better than he had in at least 10 years (he is in his late 40's), was able to train better and for longer.
Hasn't had any bother since, and that was 3 years ago that he went for the treatment!

Thanks for all the advice guys!

He knows who the boss is, but he is half lurcher! Ever seen a lurcher race a car up a country lane, the fecker is fast!

I had a pen for him in the cattle sheds which he would go into during the day and at night, but he's been turfed out as its needed for a cow which has just calved.

He's happy enough dandering about the farm himself, and he doesn't follow anyone else.  ::)

Am probably just going to have to make a new pen for him until I get to a dog training course.
He's a smart skitter (worked out how to open the latch on gate), so he should pick things up fairly quickly.  :)

Am thinking about getting some proper dog training classes, there's someone in Tandragee called Keith Mathews - has anyone heard of him or went to him before?

Does anyone have any idea how to stop your dog from following you when you are heading off to work???
Am not keen on tying him up, as he has a tendency to get himself tangled up.
A belt of a hurl to the side of the head should sort him

Lol, am guessing you are not a fan of dogs!  :)

let me rephrase that..

Does anyone know a way that won't result in me being arrested for cruelty to animals, that i can get my dog to stop following me when I'm heading to work?

Genuinely surprised at the half time score of the Paraguay - NZ match.

Think by all accounts Cannavaro was lucky not to get sent off too.

That's right fellas, let's get ourselves in a tizzy about the visit of a head of state from our closest neighbour and strongest trade partner.

Some of you people would be happy to live in caves as long as it doesn't mean getting over the past.

Can we take it then that you will be one of the first in line waving a union jack and welcoming her then?
