No point getting rid of Rafa in fairness as said by a number of other posters there is no one else really out there and with Rafa only after signing a 3 year deal a big payout would have to happen.

Would be a nightmare if Liverpool didn't progress from the group stages and make the top four. They could become the new Leeds United. I do not want to over react here but if this did happened:

Torres would be sold to Man City/United who would make offers that Liverpool could not refuse.

Liverpool would have to end up getting extra sponsors to be put on their shorts etc.

Big name players will turn their noses up at Liverpool.

The fans will stay but be exploited and ticket prices would go through the roof.

Before the 1st defeat of the last 4 (is it 4?), I was talking to 2 Liverpool supporters in work. They were asking me do I follow soccer. I said, "Aye, I watch it but don't follow a team". They said "From now on you're a Liverpool supporter". I said, "Fair enough". They haven't won a bucking match since. They think I'm a scud.

Its him its his fault get him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you attend the Sunderland match and buy a beach ball before the game??

New posters should not be allowed to post on the non-gaa section until they have made 20 GAA-related posts.

Then a dance-off.

:D Brillaint. I fancy my moves to win the dance off.

I love you guys some brilliant posters on this forum.

Phil Thompsons face on soccer special was priceless when Lyon scored the winner.

Link to this?

Shocking stuff tonight. As said before Liverpool were better team for 70 minutes but in fairness they are an average team without Torres and Gerrard. 67 players in from rafa and he is unable to compete over a season as a whole. Shocking stuff.

Fair play to you Lecale2 how much did you put on them?

Liverpool will beat United at the weekend.

Should be 2-0 great ball in from Martin Kelly. Liverpool well on top at the break after a shaky start.

Half Time Liverpool 1  Lyon 0

On couple of other boards I post on it shows at the top of the thread who is viewing the thread, I think this is a good feature.

Proper order to see Steven Gerrard taking off he wasn't in the game at all :-X

only messing, bad news if he is injured United on Sunday.

Great to see Marty Kelly getting a start tonight. It would have been very easy for Rafa to play Jamie at RB  and start Skrtle but fair fcuks to him to throw the lad in. He has started a bit shaky but hopefully he settles down and gets into it. Lyon left back looking a bit dangerous. 12 mins gone.

New posters should have to wait a while before they can post ( say 1 week) and have to wait 150 posts before they can start a topic.

Don't know about this one, I used to post on this board when I was in college under the name Peter Petrelli. Whenever I left college and got a job I said dose on the internet at work NEVER! I am here to do honest days work and change the world. I then deleted my user name with this forum.
However over the past 3 years I have broken I found myself reading the board more often and thought I should re-active my account. Not a fan of heroes anymore so I used this name, which I use on other forums. Anyway my point is most people will probably read the board for a while before they decide to post on it.

Maybe new topics should have to be accepted by the Moderator. Also there are 300+ pages on the general discussion can old threads not be removed?

Why? Sometimes I like to look over threads from several years ago. Some good craic back in the day.

Suppose your right 'ziggysego' (still dont think its the real ziggysego).

It used to be good craic back in the day eh you mean there was no people jumping down your throat every time you post something, looking for mistakes in your post. Jes.

I think that people who can't spell their own user name should be banned for starters!

As already explained to another nosey poster my name is not spelt wrong it is a clever pun on my surname. Would make more sense to ban people who have a go at other posters over stupid things.

That was hilarious altogether, I cant for the life of me understand why the ref didnt stop play but there you go.

Liverpool were flat and it seems i was right about them being in trouble with their two best players out, they are already carrying a couple of players and he doesnt even start his best available eleven.

The league is over and with that small squad I dont think that Liverpool will do well in the CL but maybe they can make a run in the FA cup or carling cup.

The yanks are ballsing up a club with a great tradition and the sooner they get rid of these asses the quicker they can get back to competing wit the big boys.

Well done Sunderland, they should have won by three or fur and liverpool had one decent player in johnson, the rest were dire.

I thought Lucas played well.
