They will proabley say that the ulster league game should be re-arranged by the respective clubs, however they dont seem to understand that there are several players in Dublin during the week, several players in the middle of university finals which kind of rules out mid week games. and then there is senior football games and training and with 90% of our player dual players, putting additional strain on players

Miltown, sorry i left unes out there, good result last nite, Portaferry are a good side. Have you kept many of ur minor team from the ulster final in 2001 i think. That was a very good side, and that was one hell of a game!!   

The Ulster club Hurling league is the way forward, to improving the overall standard in ulster and particularly in derry. However are the county boards taking it seriously. Kevin Lynch's have been fixed to play glenariff in glenariff at 6.30 on saturday while they are scheduled to have a derry league game at 6pm in Dungiven. There are 3 times throughout the year that this happens and god knows how many time there are senior football games in derry fixed at the same time as ulster hurling league games. It is about time the derry county board stops talking bout promoting hurling and actually repects this league as it could prove invaluable to the derry clubs involved! Kevin ynchs alone will get qulaity matches against ballygalget, ballycran and lougheil in a competitive situation instead of just meeting them for a meaningless friendly while bangher and screen get games against dunloy, portaferry and rossa!

Congrats to Big Enda and Greencastle!! Hope he makes the county panel this year!!! What bout Ciaran McCrory- brillant footballer. is he in the tyrone panel yet!! Sort it out mickey!!

Who cares bout the football!! That will be a wile weekends craic up round the bot!! Hope both qub and uuj both get through. The success of weekend depends on it!!!

Dual Players are becoming a rarity both a county and club level. I know of too many examples of players who quit one to conncentrate on the other. These players should be helped, in a perfect world to purse both codes. For example- a inter-county player played for 6 different teams throughout the year. His club's- which ended with Ulster final defeat in Nov, his college, both county teams and a provincial side. He now is binging training for next year after having 2 weeks off!! This needs to be sorted out before players get disillusioned with our games and as is happen retire at relatively young ages!!

Keep an eye for Cathal McKeever in both derry teams this year- just returned from NY where he has been on both NY panel's last year. He is a brother of Kieran and Emmett. Brilliant Prospect!!!
