Meath poor enough. Giving Tyronies too much space. Deegan doing Meath no favours.

He never does. When I seen who was reffing it, I knew what was in store

In fairness to the genuine Dub fan I would say 99% of the booing comes from the Neanderthals on Hill 16.

It was coming from every corner of the ground today. It was the same when they played wexford a few weeks back

What do people make of this. I know its not wide spread but I think it has no place in our sport. Maybe I've got rose tinted glasses on but I always view Gaelic games as fair and rrspectfull sports. The Dublin fans boo and jeer every free taker and I think its disgraceful. The dubs aren't the only set of fans that do it, the Louth fans do the same.

Gillespie was great today. I really hope he can push on from here. We haven't had A real top class midfielder since bigjohn and conor looked the part today. Fair play to all the young lads today, some great performances. We need good performance against the dubs to really bring them on. If we can get a belief into the younger guys that they can stand toe to toe with the top teams, it will bring Meath football a step closer to where we want to be.

Another call not given for steps again today. Dublins first goal scorer took around 9 steps without so much as a thought of a hop or a solo but yet the goal stands. Referees need to man up and call the foul, even if it is a dub shooting into the hill

When is the draw for our round of the qualifiers?

It'll be interesting to see who we get drawn against. Kildare won't have to worry about any draws taking place until they get drawn as provincial champions (without having to hit 3rd gear in any match) against one of the qualifiers.

My prediction of a simonstown victory could be on the cards. Strolled through their 4 matches to earn a place in the final,. Only seen the last two and they've scored 8-16 and only conceded 1_1. C'Mon the ga

Je royal ranter the way yer going on I thought they won division 1 at a canter; but according to the Sunday Game it was division 2. Maybe they should of entered division 1 for a real test!!

Anyway well done to the Simonstown Girls and all the winners.I can't believe that New York won division 2; a fantastic achievemnt altogether!

Ticklemaster, they are children. What does it matter what division they were in, its still a great achievement.maybe they shoul have been div.1 but they can only beat what's put in front of them. The way you are going  on, you'd think it was a lesser achievement for them to win div.2

It was our girls they played in the semi-final, Sperrin Óg. From what I heard, Simonstown have a good big strong team.

Good luck to them in the final.

They do, they've a great team. They won the final by 2 points. They've never actually lost a match since they started playing.

Referee is Michael Collins. Sure what chance do we have now.

Whatever chance we had went out the window with that appointment. Everytime I go to a match that Collins refs, I have hear somebody saying ' They shot the wrong Michael Collins'

It was refreshing to hear Jason Sherlock on the Last Word last night.

He thinks the punishment is about right. He wasn't downplaying racism, but he made the point that fat players, ginger players, small players, ugly players all receive abuse from their opponents as part and parcel of in-game mind games. He didn't seem to believe the personal abuse in this context was any more deep-rooted than this, so it's not racism as such, but ignorance.

We should bear this in mind before condemning the guilty parties. There's really not a whole lot of difference between me calling Lee Chin a chinese p***k and me calling Ciaran McKeever an Armagh p***k, as long as the emphasis is on the "p***k" part.

I would agree with you there, but I think they should have been banned for a bit longer, just to send out a message. We need to show that the GAA is not a closed organisation which only accepts people who are Irish, catholic, red haired etc. We need to show that everybody is welcome to play, no matter what their ethnic origin or skin colour is.

'Showing' the ball never seems to get blown for at all by the ref. It's something forwards are doing in every match but yet I can't remeber the last time I've seen a free given for it.

Steps is a very frustrating one, so many players are getting away with, particularly on big occassions (ie. Dublins goal in the AI final). Are refs afraid to make these calls in big games?

Simonstown gfc from Navan WILL win the girls competition, but best of luck to them all.
