Two diabolical defences. It was like a hurling game with the procession of scores. Both teams will be destroyed by the first side they face with an ounce of defensive nous.

Give me an aul dour, depressing Ulster championship match, where forwards actually have to work for their scores, over that airy-fairy schoolboy stuff any day  :)

I can guanrantee today will beat the shit out of watching Dessie Mone and Mc Keever playing tomorrow. Prepare yourself for another 60 free borefest that Brolly will try to sell to us as football.

Speak for yourself. I like my football with defenders that actually defend. If I'd wanted to watch a procession unchallenged scores I'd have switched over to ESPN in the hope some basketball would be on. There's much more to football than kicking lots of lovely points.
well afs did you enjoy the mighty monaghan men running unchallenged through the armagh defense today and your right there is more to football than kicking lots of lovely points, ask banty

poor match it seems the occasion affected the teams though armagh created more goal chances and should have had the game out of downs reach long before the end

What an idiot Spillane is. Ciaran's only coming into his prime. Pat's a complete fool. The match against Monaghan was one of the few poor games Ciaran's ever had for Armagh.

Agreed...Top notch defender, Making him captain was the best thing ever happened to him though, seems to have taken the silliness out of his game!
i think he meant stevie mac if you read the captions under the photos it seems they got mixed up,ciarans only 26

Dont want to get on the lads case, but interesting to see Tasker being talked up so much, no doubt an excellent player, but he didn't count for about the first 25 mins of that minor game, looked totally disinterested and seemed to me to pull out of a couple of tackles.  Looks to me like a fella that could be nullified with the right man on him - hope to be proved wrong the whole way to September!
young tasker has been man marked all his life hes well use to it and he was man marked against monaghan. he always had the beating of his man even in the first 25 and was unlucky at times by slipping or someone getting a hand in but he never stopped showing infront of his man and you get what you deserve in football which is why when the pressure was on tasker came to the fore
