You don't imagine I'd vote for a politician who would lie to me about something so serious as that?

What next? That Kelly, like his Party President, was never in the IRA?  ::)

I gave you one, Gerry Kelly has lost the support of the ardoyne area and is claiming this to try and brush under the carpet the fact that the ardoyne community does not stilll follow them.  Therefore these people not lying down to the ruc must not be from the area.
So it was Kelly who was lying.

Thank you for that.

Btw, is Father Gary Donegan, Parish Priest in Ardoyne, also out of touch with local people, when he comments as follows:
"Myself and many people were looking at people last night that we'd never seen in the area before in our lives.

"It was as if people had been bussed into the area for this very purpose and that this was being very much orchestrated.

"What do they bring to the area? Nothing, because when they're all gone those residents who live there, day in day out, still are there to pick up the pieces."

(Or you don't imagine that Fr. Donegan's flock is deserting him for the "Real Catholic Church", and so is telling porkies to cover up for his loss?  ;))

Do you think the youth actually goes to mass, come on now!

In a way you are confirming that sinn feins new agenda is working and they are bound to be delighted at having a new vote in yourself.

If the police werent out en mass last in Ardoyne do you think there would have been any recreational rioting?

No. I was in Ardoyne on the evening of the 12th

Hmmm.

In commenting on the disturbances in Ardoyne Gerry Kelly placed the blame fairly and squarely on (so-called) Dissident Republicans from outside the area.
In one TV interview I saw, he specifically named several organisations, including Eirigie.
Naturally, Eirigie denied that they were in any way involved.
It seems to me that either Kelly was lying, or Eirigie must have been lying.
Seeing as how you are familiar with both SF and Eirigie, and were present at Ardoyne, which of them in your opinion is the liar?

Sinn Fein werent involved as Gerry Kelly was enjoying a wee parade and drinking tea with the ruc.

Eirigi released a statementsaying...........

Meanwhile, party general secretary Breandán Mac Cionnaith dismissed Sinn Féin claims that éirígí was in some way involved in yesterday's rioting.

"The suggestion by Sinn Féin that éirígí orchestrated the rioting that occurred in Ardoyne is a transparent attempt to divert attention away from the outrageous actions of the PSNI," MacCionnaith said.

"I challenge Sinn Féin to produce a shred of evidence to support their claims of éirígí involvement in rioting.

"If Sinn Féin thinks it can use éirígí to hide the contradictions of its support for a paramilitary police force, they will be sorely disappointed. Sinn Féin would do better to focus on the actions of their friends in the PSNI than attacking republicans. The dogs in the street know that the Sinn Féin leadership is deeply worried by the growing support for éirígí's political message. This is the context in which this latest attack on éirígí by Sinn Féin should be seen."

Mac Cionnaith concluded: "éirígí commends the community in Ardoyne for taking the decision to peacefully oppose a sectarian march through their community. Like the communities of the Ormeau Road in south Belfast, Erris in County Mayo and the Garvaghy Road in Portadown, they have shown true courage in facing up to the forces of a state intent on suppressing their rights."

If the shinners do a deal with the oo and let them down the garvaghy road its bye bye gerry and martin.  The next local election will already show a dramatic fall in support for the party never mind what would happen if sf sold old the community once again.

Brendan Mac Cionnaith, i think is a spokesman for Eirigi and has made statements following the rioting in ardoyne and the harassment of the community by the Ruc.

I cannot understand why they cannot not march in there own areas until the cows come home instead of ramming their hate down the throats of residents in majority nationalist towns and villages.

Sinn Fein are every bit as bad and they are happy enough to help the PSNI/RUC force these parades through the areas.  If there were no controversial parades there would have been no trouble.

Did you see yer band man hitting the nationalist along the side of the road with his drumstick. The peelers just kept holding the nationalists back. Un f**king real !!

Was unbelievable, then a youth came over and spat at the crowd of protestors.
A snickers was once called a marathon but there the same inside!

Your best bet would be to ring plant hire companys round the newry area, plenty sitting about doing nothing.
