From what I have seen of some Derry club teams this week in the championship a lot of clubs are already coaching the soccer way!

With our current squad and after the second half performance on Sunday i think 4-4-2 is best suited and not the formation BR has been using.  With the best probably being

                                           Reina

    Wisdom           Skrtel                  Agger           Johnson

Sterling             Gerrard                Lucas/Allen             Downing/Enrique

                           Saurez                 Sturridge

Looks strong but again the problem is we have nobody on the bench. I think we are week on the left.  Johnson week enough defencively and left midfield a probem.

Alot of space between the full backs and centre halfs there could be in bother with balls played down the channels also wingers could do with tucking in at bit.

There you go Tommy Smith. LOL .  I agree Geoff Tipps about Johnson but that means we need a left back and left midfield.

GAA Discussion / Club Websites not working
July 26, 2011, 06:03:14 PM
I was just wondering if any other clubs websites were not working at the minute and an error comes up trying to get on.  I run our clubs website and can't get onto the admin page either.  Was thinking maybe something happened to the company or something.  Here is the error message below.  Any help would be great.

  The webpage cannot be found
HTTP 404
   Most likely causes:
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

   What you can try:
     Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

Go to  and look for the information you want.

Derry / Re: Derry Hurling
September 26, 2010, 06:03:47 PM
some clubs struggle to make underage or reserve football teams let alone hurling teams.  Its just the way it is - sure the all ireland ends with the football final.  It is just the more popular of the two.  Even though the hurling final was prob more exciting than the football one.

Dont know how kilcoo men can complain about he ref when he gave you some handy decisions.  Firstly gave a handy free in defence when it wasnt and you ended up getting a point from it. Secondly hopping the ball when our forward was for taking a free kick and said he took too long to take it even though we were 2 points down and no need to waste time - its just the way he takes them. Thirdly giving an easy 20 yard free kick for a third man tackle when your man kicked out as ours first.  Allowing an extra 30secs to a min to try and let you equalise.  Granted your mans sending off was cruel but you have to careful when on a yellow.  And after that he booked any loup player for coughing wrong so he could try and even things up.  The booking after Paul Devlin was shot sorry fouled and dived like he had been watching Tyrone DVDs for the last week was a joke.  Cant blame the ref for all your misses and the fact that you should have been 6 points up at half time.  Once we scored the goal there was only one winner.
Thing about it is I would have wished any Kilcoo man all the best in the final so no point having sour grapes.  Anything after the county final until your in the ulster final is a bonus. So celebrate your county victory and stop your complaining.  Yes if we were beat i'd have complained about the ref but would have said ah well we would have loved being in this position at the start of the year.
Sorry if my English isn't the greatest tonight but i'm just home from the club celebrating with a few pints.
PS St Galls willl be very very tough.

Dunno how O'Neill got on it. Was poor right throughout the whole of the Ulster championship and didn't even score against Derry.  If 2 Donegal men get on it due to good individual performances then Derry's Gerard O'Kane should maybe have got on it - prob man of the match in every game he played and never gave Sean Cavanagh a kick in the Tyrone/Derry game.
