That made me chuckle..

Completely bored of this already.

Playing at home usually offers an advantage so I can't see why this would be different for this game.

Never understood why fully grown men wore football tops to pubs anyway.

Well the Armagh Championship is certainly not competitive, it's a foregone conclusion and has been for years.

I've no interest in a championship when it's merely a one horse race, sad but true.

From a purely personal perspective of that of a member of a GAA club I can't fathom why there is this political tag being branded.

The GAA for me is all about playing a sport, embracing our culture and the social bonding that exists within our clubs - Not once have I ever thought of it as a political entity but then again that's my personal opinion and I see nothing mentioned with the GAA's own objectives.

Ironically I think it's those who view the GAA as some sort of political nationalist/republicanism monster to look inwardly at their own attitudes without the usualy prevalient bigotted attitude associated with these insular people.

I wouldn't embrace any organisation that is racist, bigotted or used some sort of political tool as I've no time for any of these peripheries that are so often associated with life in N.Ireland.

I train, support the club, play football, enjoy the social aspect afterwards, such polarisation indeed.

Anyone going to the Odessey on the 15th for the Rogan fight. The 'Western Warrior' Henry Coyle is fighting on the undercard bringing a good gang of mayo supporters to belfast.

Coyle is a pretty decent boxer from the limited viewing of him, are they expecting a capacity crowd in Belfast for this ?

But surely you can be a republican without supporting terror campaigns, a massive generalisation that I can't agree with.

I'm neither suprised nor shocked by these people protesting, some people inherit their imbecilonic views whilst many are brainwashed along the way.

This goes for both sides.

I know it's 'only' the Ulster League and it's not a completely fair reflection but still useful in knowing that Derry teams won half the groups and came second in half the groups.

Group A
1st Ballinascreen
2nd Newbridge (Division 2)

Group B
1st Ballinderry
3rd Kilrea

Group C
2nd Bellaghy

Group E
1st Lavey (Division 2)
Glenuillin

Group F
2nd Loup
6th Greenlough (Division 3)

You're right - it's only the Ulster league.

I know I'm right I don't need confirmation of it, thanks for your enlightening input.

Crokers set to be full this weekend for the rugger yet the weekend before for our national league final it was about a 1/4 full, doesn't look good does it ?

If derry is so good then why is that reflected at county level?

The fact that it's so competitive is a detriment to the county team which has already been emphasised previously.

And Derry are one considered in the top dozen county teams in the country, not that I really associate a stong club league with that of the county team.

It's blantantly obvious (to me anyway) there is a need for an 'Other Sports Section;.

Considering 9 of the 19 threads on the General discussion's first page are dedicated to other sports I can't see how you can argue that this isn't cluttering up the general discussion with sports talk when other general and current affair issues drop off the page far too quickly.

It shouldn't be a soccer debate as some peoples narrowminded mindset will always be anti this for one reason or another but logically a new sub section should be created for more proactive and relevant discussion..
