In relation to the Cork under 21 team, they seem to be handy enough but their best player Cathal Vaughan has not played with them yet this year due to injury. They have a few of the UCC winning Sigerson team.

Well I was at  two under 21 Games last year. I was at 4 inter county Senior hurling games and 3 Senior football games along with 4 Ladies games.A lot of the football support is deep in West Cork and they would have another 2 to three hours to travel after Cork city . The hurling support is nearer the city and while I follow both most people wouldn't.

I am a Corkfan. The club scene in Cork is very active at the moment. I live in area where we have girls and boys club, hurling and football. On any given  weekend we have over 200 kids training on two different days. We try to have one coach for 6 players. Loads of games too  and the county championship started a few weeks ago in Senior and it is nearly over in under 21. That does not stop just because we have Seniors or under 21s in action on the Intercounty scene.

By all accounts Kelly and Cahalane are no way matchfit, Both had very serious surgery and Kelly just played first full match for club a few weeks ago. Both teams have a number of under 21s to come back. Hard to judge what will come down the line.If Cork can sort their midfield , they have some class forwards that will do damage.

Given the  fourteen men and all the injury problems , the feeling down South is that we are very happy with draw. The Subs performed very well and bar Sheeehan all the others will be back for the later stages of the League.

Cork have loads of injuries.   Still beat Tipp yesterday though. Kerrigan is playing well though.

I was at the game yesterday and would not agree that canty and Murphy are the leaders anymore. Shields, Walsh Kelly and Sheehan have taken over. Murphy is only on for mins  this year.

Not sure how many have got a run but I read that 8 of last years panel are gone/ retired or injured. Think Anthony Lynch is the only one who has not got a run. They have transferred a few others to the junior panel.Eoin Cotter was very good yesterday.

Also missing for Cork were Cadogan and Colm O Neill. They had to play a lot of the game with 3 players with no experience of the big day.

Cork forwards are class and they really play as a team. Two of the players never played under age for Cork before. Have a very good manager in John Cleary

Its their size and speed that sets them apart. Some of them are very young but have unreal skill. Think they only had about 4 or 5 wides.
