OK last question then M4S  ;)

If i had gone for Limerick with 0.5 would i also have got the points for that in a draw? (As with a half point extra they would have won)

I'm a hard man to teach!!!

All

I have a great little spreadsheet which tracks all if the championship matches and keeps you up to date with what matches are coming up next, it also helps you to make sense of the draw structur this year. I only have one for the hurling at the moment but would anyone like a copy of it and let me know what you think?

Am i being slow but, surely if the handicaps are to half points then a draw cannot be an option, so how do we go for it ? For instance if it is Limerick with a half point handicap this week surely if there is a draw those who go for Limerick take the points, if clare win by a point the Clare voters have it.

Or am i playing this all wrong!!

Hurling Discussion / Re: Dublin vs Wexford
June 14, 2008, 08:59:05 PM
AM i the only one who thought that was the worst example of hurling skills seen this year. The first half was atrocious, Wexford were as bad as i have seen any of the traditionally strong teams for years and Dublin couldnt take proper advantage from it. They had three dead on goal chances and didn't even hit Fitzhenry with any of them. The ground work was non existant, there was about two decent high catches all match from either team and i dont remember anyone picking out a decent pass into the forwards. The wides from Dublin in the second half especially were criminal, they made Tipp and Cork las week look clinical.

That Tipperary lost to hat Wexford shower last year is almost embarrasig but i think they were better than that. And if anyone carries on with this dream that Dublin are going to strengthen to begin to take on KK any time soon i will be amazed. Unless there is serious work and improvement put in both of these panels are way way off doing anything this summer. Every team in Munster would make mince meat of them both in the qualifiers. Kilkenny need some serious competition in Leinster.

you are right mental man, the boys on the TV laughing at it like it was some kind of parish match, this is a large scale sporting event, things like this cannot be allowed to happen

We would be doing well to unseat the mighty Kerry from Munster hurling glory!!

The winner of phase 2 qualifiers will be drawn against a phase 3 qualifer winner in phase 4, Phase 3 qualifers will be munster semi losers against Leinster semi losers. The draw for phase 4 will be arranged so teams who have played each other in provincial matches cannot meet. Therefore if Waterford beat Antrim then they could play Cork, Tipperary (whichever loses tomorrow), Limerick (If they lose to Clare in Mun SF), Offaly (assuming they lose to KK) or the loser of Dublin Wexford!!

Clear as mud isn't it, god love the GAA.

Timmy

I guess not, there was talk about it a few week ago but the county said he was on the panel and he has been in training apparently and announced in the team.
