Hurling Discussion / Re: Ballycran set to dominate

I was up in  Casement today and am still really gutted we left it behind the first day in the drawn game against Dunloy in the real final. The second day the puck out  mix up sealed our fate!

We know we are the best club in Ulster and I stand by the assertion that we are set to dominate for the coming years.Dunloy know that and the real hurling people do.

But from all in the Ballycran area best wishes and well done to Dunloy!!

Jonathan oh the bregrudger you were the one mentioning local bars etc so if you have nothing positive to say about this great team say nothing and go back to what you do best whatever it is!!

Pull hard I don't where you came from maybe you did a lot of courses in coaches but really how many games have you played in your life ?( for the crack from aged 12  onwards what 4 a year or a few on your holidays get a grip), Johnny come lately! You coached the  Ballycran lads (you i am sure are the reason why they hurled so well on Sunday past) and I'm sure you were headhunted for that role!!

Now you sunshine go back to Hoganstand yourself and when someone decides to praise his club and let the wider public now about them don't Johny come lately try to decide what should or should not be written.
But on a positive note pull hard i admire your admiration of the underdog clubs and I'm sure now that you are a "hurling prophet" good luck and keep pulling hard.

But onto the match let all hurling folk get to Casement and watch Ballycran put the pride back in Ulster hurling!

Jonathan the  mask has slipped typical of jealous inward looking people who upon the success of neighbouring parishes revert to their own begrudging ways , they may subtly  try to act the wise man and talk about issues.
Any of the issues this begrudger has named are nothing new to Gaa clubs defections to other clubs ( ps not on any grand scale by the way )  and drinking in named local bars ( quite insulting to Ballycran folk ) , these  hurlers are a credit to themselves , their families and their clubs and for you to insuinate that is downright nasty ( possibly your lack of worldiness and youth may account for this ,a little too inward looking - get out and away a little more).
Jonathan get a grip of yourself and support  your county champions but then old habits die hard but try to wish them well.
These players are on the cusp of greatness through sheer committment and drive . so get to Casement on Sunday and see for yourselves.

Ballycran set for a golden period of dominance
Atlast it is coming true the golden period of Ballycran is beginning. They outplayed Dunloy, will beat them in the replay and give the all-ireland a real go.
There is nothing surprising about this they are a bunch of committed skilful players who just live and breath for hurling. They have the material in Ballycran , a very well organised youth policy from Paddy Dorrian at the early stages right up to Dermot O'Prey and the rest.Hurling is everything to these people .
The players taking a few examples are just hurling mad Sean O Aonghuis ,Conor Woods (possibly the best hurler in Ulster and son of the great Dermot), James Coyle ( what a pedigree) ,Colm Mc MANUS , Gary Savage( need we tell anyone of him)Paddy Hughes( from the great hurling family) , his cousin Gregory , Brendan Mc Gourty and all of them i could list.It is no surprise to anyone in the Ards that these players took Casement by storm. They live for it and that is why we could be looking at a very long period of dominance.
So don't be surprised anymore the secret is out Ballycran are back better than they ever were.
So get to Casement and watch these guys they are going to put the pride back in Ulster hurling.Everyone of them are a credit to their families and their club.So go watch them and you'll see what i mean - these are warriors (manly disciplined men) who never give up and work , work, hook , block, run, and more...
