The problem in this Colleges/ County minor row is the Omagh manager Phonsie McConnell.
He has personal issues with members of the Tyrone minor management and is being deliberately confrontational and obstructive.
It is well known that certain player(s) at the CBS didn't get selected for his McRory Cup panel because of his personal greivances with some pupils fathers.
The opinion of colleges football people I know is that Omagh have the best squad of players in the competition but will struggle to fulfil their potential as they have by some distance the poorest management set up.

It is very strange looking at things as an outsider that Omagh didn't keep Noel Donnelly & Ciaran McBride in charge this year after their success last season.

Commiserations to Dromore they gave a great account of themselves. I thought it was a very enjoyable and entertaining game.

I'm told ref in Kildress v Aghayaran U-21 game blew for full time and didn't bother about row.
Apparently no action will be taken as he will not be reporting anything. Told nothing too serious happened anyway all sorted quickly.

E-mail to clubs from A Harkin:
A, Chairde, Could everyone please note that there will be a new draw for the Tyrone Under 21 Grade Two Football Competition owing to some teams withdrawing from the Grade One section as they were in the wrong Grade than that which they had requested.
The Grade One Draw will be unaffected but some clubs will now receive byes.
The new Grade Two draw will be held over the course of this weekend. Any queries then please get in touch.
Slán agus go raibh maith agaibh.
Aodhán Harkin, Rúnaí, Tyrone C.C.C.

- Great to see the CCC maintaining their standards!! They managed to make a c**k up of U-21 gradings and draw as well as everything else they did this year.

Alot of the problems with adult fixtures imo is a result of the ability and attitude of the people involved in their organisation.
It is frightening that some of these people will be moving on to higher positions!!
From my experience there appears to be a much more commonsense and club friendly approach to fixtures at youth level within the county. On any occasion this past couple of years that we have needed to move an underage game it has never been a major problem.
I'm sure Youth fixtures are also difficult to organise as well??

Well done to Dromore very impressive victory. They can be a serious force in Ulster if they can stay focused.
However on a negative note the organisation of the speeches, music, dancing etc was a joke!!
The break between the minor game and the senior game was far too long. The speeches etc seemed to go on forever!!
The kids playing the mini games didn't even get a mention until long after they had left the pitch by announcers who wouldn't shut up the rest of the day.
Also those non stop annoying announcements about cars etc should be stopped at Healy Park when the game is in progress.
Maybe it was fitting in some ways that at our showpiece club football event we should get a clear example of the shambolic organisation that has blighted the organisation of adult club football by the CCC for the past couple of years.
Big changes need in Administration by County Board I believe!!

Ardboe appeal the sendings off????? What???
Shea Forbes punched the Fianna man in front of the ref I think he left him bleeding! Tommy McGuigan again punched right in front of the ref!! Mickey Coleman deserved a straight red but in my opinion the ref gave him a break and gave only a second yellow!

Orangeman
Should I fall to my knees to adore you now or does that come later when you are sure you have bullied me into submission.
At this stage you are making me laugh!! Wise up!!

Orangeman unfortunately Ardboe this year seem to be having more disciplinary problems than most.
After each incident you have tried to justify Ardboe's actions and discredit the ref, the other team etc etc.
Your blinkered loyalty to Ardboe is in many ways commendable but do you not think maybe Ardboe also need to do a little self analysis and examine their role in these things?

Are some clubs fair game to be slagged off and discredited but others such as Ardboe above criticism?
Ardboe have a very poor disciplinary record this year and need to examine why.
No point slagging off referees or blaming other clubs for your disciplinary problems.
This board is becoming an Ardboe propaganda outlet.

Just heard the tragic news that a young 11 year old footballer Patrick Breen dropped dead at an U-13 training session in Drumquin last night.
My heart goes out to his family, friends, coaches and teammates.
May he Rest In Peace. Unbelievably heartbreaking tragedy.

More likely to be Eamon McHugh from Aghyaran.  Excellent young ref part of Ulster Academy.  He has done a few of our senior games - very good. Will be refereeing intercounty in next year or two I would say.

Stephen O'Neill has been getting specialist treatment on his hamstring tear all week may return to training in 2 weeks if all goes well.
Brian Dooher has ongoing groin problem hopefully he will be okay.
He has had this injury for a few weeks.

I have heard Stephen O'Neill injured his hamstring (again!!!) at training the other night and is out for 3 - 4 weeks, also Brian Dooher has a groin injury. Both may struggle to be fit for Ulster Final.
Any truth in this??
