Hearing of discontent within the squad. Some hearsay around the county that Mahers new addition to the management team walked from the setup in the last few weeks.
Any truth to this?

Borris & Ossory have appointed Paudie Bourke and Shane Scully from Jk Bracken Templemore.

If Laois get their best 15 on the field this year they will win the McDonagh.
The trouble is certain players not committing as always and also management not selecting the best players available. The best player in the club championship this year couldnt start for Laois which makes little sense to me

That is the reality of where Laois Hurling is at in comparison to KK.
Harsh enough to call Colt Shanahoe an embarrassment. Fair enough 1:1 is a brutal score to put up but they were never going to put it up to the kk champs. As mentioned above Ballacolla went on a good run in Leinster but ultimately got hammered by Ballyhale in the finish.

As a neutral, it wasn't a brilliant game in the u20 the other night as Harps were much the better side and to their credit it was a dominant display. Eoin Murphy centre back was immense for a guy only 17 years of age. Abbeyleix decision at HT to leave him free while 5 points down was crazy while on the other hand, The Harps got their match ups right.

Someone from Harps at the game told me Cody Comerford is called into the senior panel also.

Harps & Abbeyleix should be a cracking final. Hard to gauge whether they are actually producing top talent or are the other clubs just considerably poor. Laois minors and u20s haven't exactly pulled up any trees bar an appearance in a Leinster Minor final in 2022.

Any word on new additions to the Laois Senior Panel?

Another weekend of coming out of OMP disappointed with the showings.

Harps and B/K both struggling big time. Relegations take a life of their own and this should go to the wire. Pauric Dunne is home this week which is a welcome boost to the Harps. Any possible returnees for B/K?
On the other hand - Ballacolla look to be slowly finding their groove and looked deadly at times and Rathdowney with Mark Kavanagh getting his way back to match fitness look to be motoring well also.
Without writing off Camross, this would be a cracker of a final unlike their group game 2 weeks ago.

With Podge Delaney back can Harps pull off a surprise win this weekend against Ballacolla?

I believe Rathdowney also played them.
Camross looked good tonight, 3:22 is fair shooting and left a good few scores behind them also.
Hard fathom how Mossy Keyes couldn't nail a starting place for Laois this year.

Hard to look past Ballacolla or Rathdowney for the championship. The murmurs coming from Rathdowney are good and seem to be flying under new management. Seemingly played Thurles Sarsfields in a challenge and bet them by 8 or 9 points.
However, I think The Harps are dark horses this year, new management also and seem to be all rowing in behind the set up.
