Does the County Board effectively hire Healy Park for games? Or how does it work?

County Board owns Healy Park. It's their ground and Omagh just manage/use it on a daily basis.

County Board voted against it last night so it won't go ahead.

Omagh St Enda's own the ground and always have since they first bought it. The county board effectively hires the ground on match days. As for the county committee voting on it, what has Omagh's fundraising efforts to do with them. Do they have a vote on any other club's fundraising? Maybe there should have been some consultation regards reserving seats but like all grounds in Tyrone where there is a county game/championship game, county board run the gate and take all programme sales. Everything else goes to the hosting club.

Tyrone CB hire the venue from Omagh for that day, its not pitch and stand hire but the hire for the premises. Car parking is at the discretion of Tyrone appointed Stewards dome of which maybe from the Omagh St Enda's club.  The county committee got involved because Omagh were hijacking the Game, Reserving seats for those that pay extra for them in a game that has unreserved seating.  Did Omagh agree to waive the rental costs of Healy Park to run this event?  If Tyrone CB wanted to entertain a Dublin board delegation would they be made stand behind the goals in the rain because Omagh's fundraiser had all the seats taken.  Omagh cant have it every road. They get a lot of income from Tyrone and pitch maintenance (even though its a shocking pitch).

Who funded the stand/dressing rooms at Healy..the CB or omagh?

There were quite a few contributors and like the press tower adds considerably to Omagh's massive rates bill! (Yes CB contribute) Tyrone play as many times if not more than Omagh each year on the pitch and when you consider championship games the CB take more use of the pitch than Omagh so it is reasonable for them to pay towards pitch maintenance etc. That pitch is down 25yrs now and can you imagine the hours of usage prior to Garvaghy?

Regards a Dublin CB contingent we are talking 80 seats out of a 5000 seat stand what 1.6%?? Omagh also supply volunteers to provide hospitality to every man and his dog who lands in before the match and at half time. As I said previously, the agreement with CB is that they take programme sales and clubs get proceeds of whatever else i.e. half time draws, shops etc. I agree that Omagh maybe could have broached the reserved seating issue before pushing ahead but I do not see this as the business of the county committee in the same way as Strabane's club 500 draw is none of their business. The tickets are paid for so it's not as if they are losing any money of it. The county board would be better putting their efforts into putting floodlights into Carrickmore, Dungannon or wherever so that Healy Pk is not used and abused for every evening game in the county. Imagine playing the likes of 2 East Tyrone teams on a Fruday night in Omagh!!!! That is the kind of issue they need to focus onò
