hi again, I'm the Yankee newb who asked if punting to self "reset" the hand count in a previous thread.  The general consensus seems to be no, punting to self does not reset the hand count, you still only get 2 carries per possession.
But that begs the question then, what the heck is the guy doing at 4:06 of this video?

(Could it be that he is punting to self in-between his two allowed hand carries? Like, instead of balancing it on his hurl, he popped it off his foot, kind of like a Gaelic football run?  That's my current theory.  It's not like I could pull it off in a game anyway, but I'd just like to understand!)
Thanks!

hello there, a question from across the pond ...if you can take the ball to hand twice on a solo, what are the ways to "reset" that hand count,  if any?  Because the gaa rules pdf doesn't seem to address that topic directly, at least as I read it*.
Bouncing  the sliotar off the ground (with the hurl)  is legit, right, that gives you two more carries?
How about a punt off the foot to one's self, similar to football?
I feel like I have seen both methods in games, but maybe I just misunderstood.
Thanks in advance ... bonus points for answering  if you are a certified official or can cite a reputable source document.

PS I also sent a query to GAA Coaching and Development dept but have yet to get a response.
