Tipp gave away a lot of soft scores at the back to Galway. They have very impressive forwards and look like a team that will go places in the future especially with all the work put in at under age. Tipp is a big county and it has been commented on that South Tipp is where Gaelic football is at its strongest. South Tipp is bigger than some counties out there and there is no reason why Tipp don't have enough resources coming from this area plus Mid and West Tipp to have good county Football teams. Tipp are well capable of having good division one/two footballing sides. I can never get my head around why Tipp football has been awful over the years when they have such massive potential

Cork could quite possibly beat Mayo but on the other hand they will be found out against Dublin or Kerry. Cuthbert has lost the dressing room so the best result for him is to loose in a competitive match to Mayo by a few points and this may save him for another day.

Closed door training I thought is the norm. Why would you want journalists or anybody else for that matter there with the possibility of recording sessions and jumping onto social media after

Hi all my query to hurling clubs out there is when a player breaks a Hurley at a match or training session who replaces the hurl the player or club. I'm involved in a new hurling club and this is a topic of debate. My view is that the player replaces the Hurley otherwise it could financially break a club

GAA Discussion / Laochra Og Hurling Club
March 03, 2014, 02:52:17 PM
Hi all we are Cork newest Hurling Club {Laochra Og}in an area that has a strong football tradition. We have a huge catchment area to cater for which include the town of Macroom and local villages Clondrohid, Ballyvourney and Kilnamatyra. We felt that there was a need to provide hurling for children/players in the above areas instead of people having to make long round trips to get to and from the nearest hurling club. Like all clubs starting off we rely heavily on the generosity of people and local business's to survive. We are asking people out there who may be able to donate equipment such as hurleys/helmets/cones/bibs/gaa goals for kids, basically anything that maybe useful for a hurling club. For further information on Laochra Og we are on facebook and twitter. If you can help out in any way contact liam on {087}9437272. Regards and Thanks.
