Kerry will be sitting back laughing at all this, let Tyrone be ripped apart from the inside out, dragging this matter through court, and they will get on with their preparations regardless.
Not a single Kerry analyst, Pat Spillane/ Darragh O'Shea etc, will give any column space to the incident unless the ban is overturned, after which they will go to town on it.
Something similar happened when Tyrone last made an all-ireland semi-final, the entire build up was overshadowed with the Tyrone County Board releasing a "Statement of Facts" that they were fouled more than their oppoenets in the wake of Sean Cavanagh's pull down.
Kevin keegans words spring to mind

What Kevin Keegans words? Do you mean the Rafa Benitez remarks about his Facts on Fergie and Manure?

Never mind, can't believe Keegan could say shit like that!

"And I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them. Love it."

Those quoted earlier are better mind you.
Would be some ambush if Tyrone manage to topple Kerry, player for player they are 7-8 point better team

Peter Harte was given a straight red card for his involvement in the row yesterday.
In other words, whatever he done before he got knocked out warranted a straight red from Hurson, vis-a-vis Harte struck first, Hampsey struck back, and Hampsey just happened to hit harder.

And anyone who says harte was provoked throughout the game by Kane, don't make us laugh.

With the championship kicking off again next weekend, anyone heard anything about the gamesplanned for this Sunday?
Will they still go ahead or will the clubs involved in next week's championship games have a free week?

Just a quick question for all southern friends.
Was down south for a bit last week and placed a few each way bets on the golf at BoyleSports.
Anyone know how many places they pay out on?

I see league fixtures have been put down for Friday 4th July.

Where are these fixtures at?

Tyrone GAA site

Aye but those are non starred games, i know there is an 8 day rule, but in all honesty, can't really see those games going ahead if Tyrone win on Saturday

It's pretty hard to watch nowadays as all the competitiveness has been removed from it. I did take in the game on saturday evening past and found myself wanting the Australians to win as in my opinion, the rules have been diluted and changed so much that it is virtualy impossible for the Aussies to win, or to even be competitive.
Their physicality, speed, fitness and professional athlete status has minimal bearing on the game, the rules dont allow them to intimidate ireland any longer and as a result ireland simply run away with it.
watching it you find yourself wanting a "dust up" or two to get the intensity of the game up a level or two.

To make the game even remotely fair, the aussies should be able to choose a goalie from ireland to play for them as quite frankly its just embarrassing to watch one of their players between the posts, obviously dangerous tackles should be taken out of it but it is much too tame at the moment so something needs to be done to make it more physical.

On another point, and im aware it has been raised elsewhere, being from tyrone, sean cavanagh using the memory of cormac mcanallen to strengthen his argument for playing compromised rules ahead of a club game, poor form!!

Anyone hear of the County Board boo boo yesterday?

Do we have to guess?

Sure why not. Go on. Have a go.
They double booked the pitches in Garvaghey for Senior and Junior championship quarter-finals?
They didn't send a rep to the launch of the Ulster Club championships as they wont have teams ready to represent Tyrone for 20th October?
They stocked Tayto instead of Hunky Dorys in the Healy park shop?
They added an extra 0 to Cutheberts expenses cheque?
They didn't get planning permission for Paschal McConnell?
They pre-printed next years appeals to the CCCC and added an extra C.
They booked the City West for the wrong weekend next September?
I give up.

Made a Dromore full back head of security at Garvaghy?

EC Unique.....Brilliant!!!

Feel Sorry for him? He's not a bad lad? hopefully it doesnt ruin his county career????
Are you for real??? If this is true, He is no more than a petty thief, who has committed a crime that should be punished. Just because he plays for tyrone doesnt mean we should feel any sort of remorse or emotion for him, in fact it should enrage and disgust us even more. A guy who receives a generous amount of money from the GPA every year, is well looked after by the tyrone board, and has got a job directly through the gaa, he should be rightly ridiculed and comdemned, its the act of a low life.
And for those who say this isnt the place to be discussing it......there are pages set up about Gerry Adams' brother and the girls smuggling cocaine from

Agree with this. As long as we always say 'allegedly' we'll be grand.

So who has allegedly done what?

If you read Winghalfbacks last couple of posts it doesn't take much working out. If it is not as black and white as is being painted then whb could be in a bit of bother.
If it is true then he is only following in the footsteps of a team mate.

the footsteps of a team mate?
honestly wasnt aware of anything like this happening before? any more info??

Moyes is making some strange decisions which aren't helping his cause.  Why is Zaha not playing?  Not as if he is a young player being nurtured through from the youth team, he cost the guts of £20 million.  Whats the craic with making Rooney captain?  After his recent antics he is the last man that should get near the armband, talk about licking his arse.

Not a young player? He doesn't turn 21 until November. He wasn't walk straight into the Utd first team with Nani having signed a new 5 year deal Young/Valenica fighting for a place. Plus the emergence of Januzaj as another winger.
He will get lots chances as the season progresses.. It was Ferguson and not Moyes who signed him after all, maybe Moyes is favouring Januzaj coming from the bench at present.

I didn't say he wasn;t young I said he wasn't some young player United have developed which is a different scenario.  He is a player bought for a large amount of money and is already a full England international with a few years experience of playing first team football.  He should have at least been on the pitch by now.

He wasn't bought by Moyes though. so maybe doesn't favour him as much, yet, regardless of the figure he was bought for.
He was playing Championship football until this season, he might not be ready for a full start or role with Utd yet.

His 2 Full England caps came from the bench in Friendly games.
Does no-one else think that when a player is described as a "full england international" and has a few caps that it is the most worthless/misleading description of a player? Given their lack of recent success, their poor performances, the struggles they are having in the current qualifying campaign, being an england international is nothing to crow about. England are a very poor team, with no realistic hopes of achieving, having caps for england mean you are the best in a very poor bunch. Ricky Lambert and James Milner have england caps for god sake.
Michu, as far as im aware, doesnt have a cap for spain, if he were english he would have 50+ caps at this stage.

Can anyone settle this debate:

If a player doesn't play in the first round of the senior championship, but plays in the quarter final. Is he eligible for the first round of the reserve championship?

My understanding is that you only become ineligible for the reserve championship from the round that you first represented the seniors.

Therefore I reckon that the player can play first round of reserves but is then ineligible for any rounds thereafter.

You are ineligible to play for the reserves from the moment you make an appearance in the senior championship
