I'm just wondering if you guys would support your arch rivals or any other club when they are playing in the provinicals. In Cavan it seems to be that most people are happy to support whoever the team is along as it isn't Cavan Gaels.
Yes definitely I would. I would try to get to a game or two if the county champions look like doing well, and would wish them well in every game when they go forward. Then next year try and knock them down a peg or two :)
Cant see that happening up here in derry !
Bellaghy would get very little backing.
If Glenullin get through on Sunday, then they probably would as it was a new team.
im from Bellaghy and i wouldn't say i would go and support anybody else from derry but i would like to see them winning, no bother.
Although i remember in 1990/1991 cheering for every opponent that Lavey came up against - until they ran out !!
older and wiser now, wouldn't happen again
I would, unless its UCD!!
I actually cheered the Meath champs against them last year! :o
UCD is a different kettle of fish in fairness. They are not 'your' county champions, they won the championship in your county. A subtle difference.
yep il always support the county champions in the Provinical Championships.
I'd always back the Co Champs
Without hesitation.
This might make for an interesting poll.
ya.
but very hesitantly if it were knockmore!
I think in Tyrone for the first time ever a penal of players looks capble of making a breakthrough at the highest level. if this were to happen I think it would be like bringing Sam to Tyrone.

I find it amazing that Moy Davitts have a dislike for Knockmore. We were all happy to see ye win the Intermediate in 96 when we won the Senior title that year as well.
Seen as Ballina and Crossmolina have won most County titles since our last win I've always wanted to see them win the provincial championship, I didn't go to all the games but I wanted them to bring silverware to the county.
I would always back the club team representing the county....though mainly because the better a club team do the more likely we are to get a few new decent players come through to the county set-up as a result.

I think it will be very hard to look past St Galls for Ulster. They have proven they have the talent to win it, add to that team one of the brightest talents CJ McGourty they will be very hard to stop. For whatever team that wins tyrone it is going to be extremely difficult. With neither team having reached this level before and the extended season over the winter months they may find it a lot more difficult than you predict.
Some I would, some I wouldn't.
Of course we will support our champs all the way ! Come on Dromore or Coalisland !!!!!!!
Couldn't see myself supporting arch rival clubs. A good number of our club travelled to Navan a couple of years ago to cheer for Mattock Rangers in Leinster final. Although I didn't notice one from other Louth clubs doing the same for us last year!!
I would go see the Pats our county champions in their games this year if it was convenient. (although they are nt going to get any support from their neighbouring club, cooley kickhams!)
Agree with MS, it depends on who the county champions are!
Anyone bar Corofin or Salthill...........
Yes always.
Yea definately, wouldn't necessarily support my provincal champions though.
depends
on?
Same as Seanie, would support the majority of Sligo clubs, bar one or two. Mary's definitely one of those. Will happily cheer on Tourlestrane, Harps etc., bearing in mind that we don't have too much history with them, having been out of Senior for so long. Wasn't too disappointed to see Curry beaten last year all the same.
I would.
I always like to see errigal or carmen doing well in Ulster - this year Id like to see our champions go on and do big things, but St Galls have only gotten better since their last Ulster Club run.
I'd be great to see any side from Fermanagh winning a provincial title. Newtownbutler have dominated the league in Fermanagh for years and deserved a county title. They'll find it hard though, success in Fermanagh must be taken into context when you consider the number and size of the clubs. I wish them well though.

Dont necessarily agree with that tb. In 2001, without the ballinderry contingent (well really big Niall and Enda), we dropped to Div 2 and it took us 3 f@ckin years to get back up! Its only the last couple of years that B'derry have really made a big impact on the county set up with the exception of the aforementioned duo and maybe Deets. Additionally, I dont think S'Neil or Loup's sojourns into the ulster championship have done that much for the county set up. Just my opinion.
But to answer the question I generally have and generally would go to the games and support the county reps.
Have always supported Cross once they got out of the county. Can't remember from before hand, might be different if it were another North Armagh team though
Always support them in both hurling and football. I've travelled Ulster to follow Mayobridge and would always head to Casement Pk to see the hurling championship.
I would also support any Ulster team in the all Ireland series.
Once any team gets out of Tyrone and into the Ulster scene, I always back them. It gives other clubs around them inspiration and motivation, showing them it is possible to take that next step.
The time Gortin got out of Tyrone in the Intermediate Level, I backed them the whole way.
