See they are back in the shops; exactly the same as I remember them, even the same wrapper; I believe there was a campaign to bring them back. Are there any other sweets or crisps that you would like to see return?
the other half brought one home to have with the tea the other day!! oh good times!
Wispas were done away with and replaced by Dairy Milk Bubble- as in the past LADIES complained that the wispa was too big and they couldnt eat it in public without it looking uncivilised ::) but due to popular demand they are back!!!! and ive enjoyed a few since they got back on the shelf!
I thought they used to be in a lighter blue wraper?
Id bring back the old milkyway mind it used to have a brown inside but has a white one now.

I would like to see the return of Creamola foam.
The finest childrens drink ever made, although it would probably be illegal nowadays. It was heavy duty stuff.

Your behaviour will not be tolerated.
Thank you for the apostrophe "flag-up" ... also ... Wispa... - no greater pleasure; a Wispa, a tin of Coke and a bag of cheese and onion... when it was all mixed together in your stomach...... the joy of it coming back up for a second chew in the mouth was a pleasure to behold!!

18 that we have loved and lost
1 Spangles Launched in 1948 by Mars, and sold in various incarnations. Withdrawn in the early 80s, only to resurface in the early 90s, to be dropped again.
2 Texan Ultra-chewy, chocolate-covered nougat bar launched in the mid-70s; disappeared in the mid-80s.
3 Banjo Boring two-fingered wafer bar, lasted for most of the 80s.
4 Aztec Cadbury paid out for a huge TV advertising campaign for this non-chocolate bar (it was peanuts stuck to a fudge finger); it lasted from 1968-1977.
5 Pacers The cloying mint version of Opal Fruits in the 70s and 80s, initially white but later adorned with three green stripes.
6 Chocolate toolbox No one now makes this fun but expensive-to-manufacture novelty box.
7 Callard & Bowser Creamline Toffees A 2001 casualty; they were better than Toffos.
8 Amazin Raisin 1971-78 - the sweets equivalent of rum'n'raisin ice cream.
9 Freshen Up Chewing gum with a liquid centre, an 80s innovation.
10 Bluebird Toffee A classic, but a recent casualty of confectionery industry takeovers.
11 Jap Desserts These old coconut sweets (coconut was often known as 'Jap') died a death in the early 2000s.
12 Cabana Short-lived but high-profile 80s bar that was a rich mix of coconut, caramel and whole cherries.
13 Counters (Galaxy) Harmless chocolate beans cruelly cut off.
14 Pink Panther Extraordinary strawberry-flavoured chocolate bars, thin like Milky Bars. An acquired taste.
15 Bandit Wafer biscuit - a challenger to Penguins (not).
16 Club bars From Jacobs. The full range has been withdrawn, but Orange is still available. Symbol guide: plain = jack of clubs; milk = golf ball; mint = green leaf. Bog-standard but likable for thick chocolate.
17 Nutty Pure 80s bar, with a smoky brown see-through wrapper. Peanuts encase a fudge-type caramel log centre.
18 Double Agent Extremely artificial blackcurrant- or apple-flavoured boiled sweets, with a sherbet centre and spy questions on the wrapper. Classic cold war confectionery.
Missing from this list are Treets and Opal Mints

Cadbury's (Dairy Milk) Caramel or Galaxy Caramel beat the shite out of it.
Or that other Cadbury's one. I can't remember the name for some strange reason. It's a dairy milk with wee honeycomb bits in it. Gold something.
Gold Crisp ?
had one tonight with my cup of tea after the grub, i can understand why people are buying them in 5's & 6's!!
they are hard to beat alright
Can't beat a Double Decker with a cuppa tae...
longball, just to let you know, the Flyte bar is basically the old Milky Way bar with different packaging & a new name, yum!
I've had one or two in my time. I don't recall them being that great. Nice, but nothing to shout about.
For the Wispa fans, why not try the Wispa Warp (http://www.cadbury.co.uk/EN/CTB2003/product_info/wispa/default.html?r=331&f=romantic)
They are back again!!! Bought four of them tonight in my local Centra

Check the sell by date. In Tyrone they could be there from when they were last in the shops.
Whereas in armagh, judging by the arses on the weemen, the O'Rourkes and of course the silverbridge exile ;) you'd be lucky to find a bar of chocolate that was even approaching its sell by date.
Ok, away out to get one. Will report in 38 mins.

Some drive for a Wispa. Surely he'd have hit Henderson's first. Don't think Falls' even have a shop now.
Jaysus they do of course...still have the red telephone box outside an all!
I had one yesterday - yum yum yum!
Now i'm just waiting on Wispa Mint coming back too!
Falls wont have wispa golds til this time next year
I just don't get the whole Wispas love-in at all!! Always thought they tasted plasticy
Used to love Wispa Gold, and I can happily guarantee everyone that they are just as nice as they used to be. Love them.
Had a bit of a disaster today with the Wispa Gold. Picked one up when was getting my lunch today. It was packed on top of my hot lunch, by time I got back to office, the fecking thing was melted. Had to put it in the freezer to harden it up. Worth the wait though, was enjoyable with a cup of tea. Maybe the coldness of it made it nicer, will have to compare with a room temperature one next week.

I suppose owning a shop makes it easy to get them. ;D
Just give me your name and address and I'll send you a box. :-*
Don't make a promise you can't honour!
Your loss. You threw my kindness back in my face. >:( :'(
I have to admit it, I'm a wispa gold addict had my 1st this morning and heading back to the shop for another, a beautifully crafted confectionary delight!
Some journey but I finally found some and have eaten 4 so far...
None in my local Centra or the Centra down the road, none in any of the shops in Lucan village so I decided to enter into bandit country and went to Clondalkin... :o
Found them in a Spar there.....It was worth the risk of getting stabbed/shot/raped by going to Clondalkin(I dunno how Tankie likes living there ;) )
They are as nice as I remember ;D

that's half your recommended intake for the day (unless of course your doing some training) - the equivalent of about 6 pints!!

Wispa Gold back on shelves again. Limited edition or short term promotion I think but lovely all the same.
Started picking Wispas up again in Tescos, nothing beats them with a cup of tea.

Wispa's are over-rated.
A kit Kat straight from the freezer with a mug of tea is far better.
BRING BACK BANJO'S!!!
Seen them today and was close to purchasing then noticed the support our olympians stuck on the side of it. Being in the north and covered with the Union Jack I decided against it.
What are banjo's? I'm intrigued, especially since you claim the mighty Wispa is overated!
