Title: Do you llive in or near Castlederg?
Post by: The Gs Man on August 22, 2007, 09:50:08 PM
Well, if you do....come and throw tomatoes at Captain Kennedy, this Sunday night at The Townhouse Bar in Castlederg.

We're playing some "festival" with a load of other bands on the Sunday before the Bank holiday.  Think we might be on about 6 - 7 or so if ye can make it!!!

Ach Castlederg isn't that bad, don't be listening to them.  A bit of a noticeable split but jeez people come out from it alive so it isn't as bad as people here will have you believe!

Gotta agree, it is a shite-hole.
The lads I know who are from the "Derg" would agree.

Seriosuly Captain...
....take it canny. Not sure what side of the house drinks in The Townhouse, but I wouldn't wear a GAA top there anyhow. In today's paper there are more reports of 11 arrested for secterian violence last weekend...again.

Are you serious Gnevin, the spellchecker would croak after about 50 cpu cycles! Translation: it's a bad place all right for sectarianism, one of the worst in Ireland, can't be sure if you're safe anywhere as a Catholic unless you're with someone who knows the place, and it's just mental around pub closing time.

Castlederg and Newtownstewart are both the same at the weekends, pile out of pubs and pile into each other!! Anything used as weapons - pike axe handles, shovels etc...

S'alright lads.  Im still in one piece.  Ended up not going.  We were supposed to be headlining, but then for some unknown reason (maybe he heard our stuff) we were dropped down the bill.  Time didn't suit us.  maybe it was for the best judging by your comments..........although our music crosses all religious and cultural divides so we would have been fine!!!!   ;D
