Title: Gaa in Barcelona
Post by: westmayo on August 07, 2007, 12:40:11 PM
I'm sure there has been a thread on this already but couldn't find it. I'm heading to Barcelona for a week on Thursday and was wondering does anyone know where I'd be able to watch the football and hurling over the weekend out there.

Scobies on ronda universidad and the corner of calle balmes. Very near Plaza cataluñya (smack back in the centre of town).

Temple Bar off the the ramblas is alright

My favourite was the Michael Collins. Go and climb the sagrada da familia. build up an enormous thirst in the spanish heat.
Climb down again. Cross the park in front of it - can't miss it. great craic and music, all the GAA on screen.

Scobies was closed when I was there; I checked out the rest of them and Michael collins was definately the best.

Enjoy yourself, an amazing city,
