Jesus, how many threads does this need?
I posted it in both places because it is relevant to at least two distinct constituencies - the GAA fraternity in a context of GAA involvement in it, and a wider sporting / non-sporting constituency.

One is enough. Why have two sets of conversations and debates going about the one topic? Users can switch from General Discussion and GAA Discussion ;)
Does anyone actually really care about this stadium, its not as if the GAA needs it.
Does any sport need it? A few pounds to fix up bettys potting shed, should get them back on track, Lansdowne will be ready soon enough and hockeys not likely to be impacted.
Ive no desire to see a "national" stadium in the six counties, its just a bit of politcal jousting isnt it? more hassle that it could possibly be worth.

Yes, football does, due to a mixture of IFA incompetence and government blackmail we are now in a position were we desparately need a new stadium
