Ronaldo who was looking like a passenger makes it 2-2.

His goal scoring record is unreal. Surely is past being a starter at this level though?

Maybe , but  Roberto "I can't believe I keep getting  the big jobs" Martinez  obviously  doesn't have the guts to drop him

Yeah I just don't get it. Seemed to be taken serious enough though.
Ronaldo crying tho you're never sure if for cameras or not

Didn't know Martinez had this gig. Seemed to underachieve with the belgians

This is a bigger tournament than the likes of the Euro and World Cup qualifiers, and obviously behind the two main tournaments

As teams in the main group are at the best level rather than being matched with San Marino

When the top players are all involved and wanting to win it gives a competitive edge. It fills the void of a big tournament every 2 years.

To be fair there aren't many opportunities to win something playing for your country so in my opinion this is a good step above glorified friendly games.
I think it's a decent competition and the players are obviously up for it.
I actually think there should be semi finals/finals for all the Leagues.
Wouldn't it be better than say Ireland for example instead of playing a friendly v Luxembourg this week that they could possibly be playing in a Final to win something? Yeah I know we wouldn't have made it this year anyway but it would be something to aim for.
Just a thought.

While they might be glorified friendlies, North are basically guaranteed a WC playoff spot for winning their wee League C Nations league group, no matter how they do in WC group. While FAIreland have only one route to a playoff: come second in WC group.
