R.I.P. Farrandeelin. Passed away today, only a young man with a very young family. He would have been on here posting this evening had things been different. A gentleman and great servant of Knockmore GAA here in his beloved Co. Mayo.

RIP, saddened to hear this. Always came across as a decent skin, a loss to this forum, but that pales into insignificance compared to the loss to family and friends.

Very sad news. Puts things into perspective. RIP Far.
Thats tragic, leaving such a young family behind.
Sounded like a really great fella, helping out with underage teams in his own club.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. Condolences to his family and friends. Seems like I half watched Brendan grow up on this board from his studies to getting married and having children, and of course his football opinions. This place the poorer for his absence.

It does. I believe he was only 34 and his youngest child turned 1 recently.
RIP Farr. Was always fair and balanced in his posts. Condolences to all his family and friends.
Is there anything we could do like flowers or something ? Or a book of his posts for after the funeral so his children can know more about their father when the time comes.

Shocking, gutwrenching, just echoing what others have said.
Thoughts haven't strayed far from his family and friends since I first seen the thread earlier.
Don't take a day for granted.
Very sad news, a measured contributor and a man that should have had long life ahead of him bringing his children to games. RIP.

Really awful news. RIP Farrandeelin
I said to myself I'd never post on this forum again but when I heard Farr had died I had to pay my respects. At times when I had no right to respect he treated me with it.
Once of the most genuine supporters you'd ever find with not even a hint of arrogance or condescension. A truly class human being.
The only fitting thing I can say is Mayo Abú. When they finally win one I know he will be smiling. You'll be missed.
So so sad to hear this news . He was a gentleman who loved mayo and knockmore football so much . Thoughts and prayers for his family . Rest in peace Deelin .
I remember he always had a soft spot for Fermanagh i presume his wife is from there?
No funeral arrangements announced yet for Farr. It's hard not crossing the line of Anonymity on this forum when taking about Farr. Some posters here knew Farr in person while others (like me) knew him from his user name on this forum. Never realised he was so young. And I realise now his perspectives were from a man 20 years less of life experience than mine (and I know, I did little growing up in that period). I'll miss the trepidation he always had in the lead up to any games involving Mayo or Knockmore. He always had a (mostly wrong) bad feeling leading up to those games. It always made me smile.
R.I.P,
very sad news, everything already said here is also echoed by myself,
Rest in peace, very sad news, always enjoyed his insights and rivalry
Condolescenes to all the mayo posters on here and his friends and family.
Laid to rest this afternoon. RIP.
RIP Farrandeelin. Always had very good posts he will be missed.
The death notice mentioned donations to a heart charity. It's awful when people die so young.
Sincere condolences to the family of Farr. One of the great posters here and I can go back to his pre Farrandelin days when he was Cnoc Mór! Like many he always feared the worst and hoped for the best when Mayo were playing. Above all he was courteous, good humoured and well informed (I think he won the Gaaboard championship prediction competition last year).
The regular and long serving posters here feel like part of one's family and like another Mayo poster that we lost not the long ago (Lar Naparka) Farr will be missed. Clearly a young man with a young family his death is a huge loss to all his family and those who knew and loved him.
RIP Farr
