Title: End of season merry-go-round
Post by: ExiledGael on May 25, 2007, 04:54:47 PM
Lot of comings and goings in the Premiership and beyond at the minute so I thought I'd start this to keep up to date with transfer talk etc especially across Europe where we don't hear much of.
Houllier stepped down as Lyon boss today so it looks like he's coming back to England, City probably

Didier Deschamps has resigned as boss of Juventus after getting them promoted to Serie A.
Also Lawrie Sanchez has bid for Aaron Hughes, does he not realise those NI players are not good enough for the Premier League!??

Thought Hyypia could play at a bigger club than that.
Apparently Rafa is after Florent Malouda for the troublesome left wing

Hargreaves looks to be in the door at United

Bale is a great acquisition for Spurs, now they need to keep a hold of Berbatov else they will be fooked.

would you want to tame barton he's useless anyway, ovrrated as f**k!  he's like michael ricketts, kevin phillips, james beattie scott parker and amny others, players who play out of the skins of r a season r 2 then fade away!  barton had a good season 2 years ago and then demanded a transfer no loyality in him at all!

in my opinion send him up to rangers with all th rest of th hoods and wasters

David Gill and Carlos Quieroz out in Portugal to finalise Nani's transfer to man Utd from Sporting Lisbon. Another skillful Portuguese winger but a lot smaller than Ronaldo, 19 years old

Looks like it's Anderson they've signed....

....re the Crespo thing. Just cannae understand it. I presume there is some form of getting him of the pay roll involved, and perhaps a gentleman's agreement to bear it in mind for future transfers!

Man Utd swoop for Anderson & Nani

Manchester United have agreed "in principle" deals to sign Anderson from FC Porto and Nani from Sporting Lisbon.
The Premiership champions are set to make 19-year-old Brazilian Anderson and 20-year-old Portuguese winger Nani their first signings of the summer.
"Terms are agreed with both players and an announcement will take place once a medical and other procedures are done," said a statement on United's website.
United are also on the brink of signing Owen Hargreaves from Bayern Munich.

Chelsea have also agreed a £3.5m deal with Bayern Munich to sell Boulahrouz (sp) half of what they paid for the clown and West Ham have bid £8.5m for Scott Parker
It's all kicking off

Are Anderson and Nani not wingers? Seems strange to be strengthening United's strongest department.

If Hargreaves comes that'll be £50 million spent (If the rumours are true)..will United be accused of buying success?

Pizarro joins Chelsea as the second summer signing of the close season...and another freebie! Do not know a great deal about the Peruvian, but we definately needed another striker.
The signing of Alex is almost complete too if the rumours are true. If Alex signs apparently the fee will be $1.00!

Nani is a winger. Anderson is an attacking midfielder. I guess Scholes and Giggs aren't getting any younger.

You think Hargreaves is what United have been missing in Europe?

I'd say Bayern are laughing their holes off at the money they got for him!

Everyone please note, New Devil has spoken. I have heard the bookies are not taking any more bets on United winning the European Cup because its a foregone conclusion. Is this the same Hargreaves that was a laughing stock in th English media 18 mths ago, had a half decent World Cup compared to the rest of the "golden generation"........

Traore and Biscan played in the champions league for a few years. He was booed  by his own England fans rember? A very good player yes, but the person to win you the Champions League? Get a grip man, he isn't fit to lace Scholes boots.

He may well be very suited to the rush-and-tumble of the Premiership. I doubt if he'll flop like Veron, who despite being ten times the player Hargreaves is, couldn't adapt to the different style of play.

He wil be suited to Premiership ok where giving the ball away is not punished as severely as in Europe. The thing is there are quite a few United supporters think he is the final piece in the jigsaw for Europe.
