Kildare lost that game today because of 3 occasions in which an advantage which accrued was not applied and the play was called back.
So given the relative success of the self-policing of the mark, why not, in a similar fashion for fouls, have the ref blow the whistle in the event of a foul, then have the fouled team/player decide themselves if they want the advantage, within a 5 second window....that way they could play on if they wanted. If they want to take the free, they simply stop and raise their hand.
Controversy over AND justice served
Whadyye think?
Could not agree more.seen it far too many times were a team gets penalised when the advantage is actually theirs.
In general, I think it's a rule that has been implemented fairly well since its introduction.
If we keep changing the rules to allow for bad refs where will it end?

With Kildare getting relegated :)
Admit it, Dinny.
You miss Division 2.
It's the place to be alright.
We seem determined to avoid promotion anyway.

I love that place, don't do something stupid like getting promoted.
