We have had the drummers and guitarists courtesy of Seafóid...now who are the best singers...who have/had the best voices.
Off the top of my head.
Freddie Mercury, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Elvis
Sinead for all her troubles had a 1%er voice. Freddy as mentioned, superb.
Plant and Meatloaf in their pomp.
Don Henley.
Stevie Nicks
Eddie Vedder
Layne Staley and Kurt Cobain
Damien Rice has a good range although he's a bit whispery in the lower side and I don't even think Kelly Clarkson has gotten out of first gear yet.

Bon Scott was my hero but like you say he blew it. The Wilson girls in Heart were very good singers. I liked Pat Benatar as well. Dan McCafferty out of Nazareth was a good vocalist too.

I took the liberty of translating oul Rino - here goes:
Who lives in a shack, who sweats his salary
who loves the love and glory's dreams.
Who robs pensions, who has short memory
who eats once, who throws to the target.
Who wants the [pay]rise, who plays to Sanremo
who has glasses, who goes under a train.
Who loves his aunt, who goes to Porta Pia
who finds discounted, who as he has found
na na na na na na na na
But the sky is always bluer uh uh uh uh
but the sky's always bluer uh uh uh uh...
Who dreams millions, who gambles
who plays with threads, who acts like an indian
Who is a farm-worker, who sweeps the courts
who steals, who fights, who tells on
na na na na na na na na
But the sky is always bluer uh uh uh uh
but the sky's always bluer uh uh uh uh
Who has hired by the Zecca, who fails
who has some inner crisis, who digs deep in the hearts.
Who is a palm-reader, who reigns sovereign
who perspires, who fights, who eats once.
Who hasn't got a house, who lives alone
who hasn't a good salary, who plays with the fire.
Who lives in Calabria, who lives on love
who made war, who takes sixty cent. (at university),
who arrives to eighty cent., who dies at the work.
na na na na na na na na
But the sky is always bluer uh uh uh uh
but the sky's always bluer uh uh uh uh
but the sky's always bluer.
Who has been assured, who has been penalized
who goes to pharmacy, who has died cuz of envy or of jealously.
Who's wrong, who's right, who is Napoleon.
Who shouts "stop thief!", who has got an anti-theft device
who has painted a painting, who's a wall-writing.
Who reacts instinctively, who's a looser, who's a winner
who eats once, who wants the [pay]rise.
Who changes his boat happy and glad
who as he has found, who all things considered.
who dreams millions, who gambles
who leaves to Beirut having a billion in the pocket.
who has been penalized, who hates bloody Southerners
who sings Prévert, who copies Baglioni.
who's a farm-worker, who tells on
who has died cuz of envy or of jealously.
Who's a palm-reader, who sells amulets
who writes poems, who eats some potatoes
Who only sometimes drinks, who every nights
na na na na na na na
But the sky is always bluer,
but the sky's always bluer.
WTF is he on about? Thanks for wasting fifteen minutes of my life - In that fifteen minutes I could have watched the highlights of Ireland beating NZ. Ciao!
Although you have to give credit to the line:
who writes poems, who eats some potatoes
Epic...

Liam wasn't even the best singer in Oasis.
Behave, Gallagher was the best frontman in a band of the past 20 years hands down.
In his prime before his voice deteriorated, he was like a cross between Lennon and Johnny Rotten.
Noel is a brilliant song but his vocals are vastly inferior to Liam and he would be the first to admit that.
Elvis, Marvin Gaye, Pavarotti, Roy OOrbison and James Brown are my personal favorites, Harry Connick jnr is up there as well.
Joan Baez, Carly Simon, Karen Carpenter and Philomena Begley would be near the top of my list.
Elvis, Sinatra, Aretha, Streisand, Whitney Huston, Chris Stapleton, Freddy Mercury, Axel Rose, Sam Cooke, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Bing Crosby, Nat 'King' Cole, Luke Kelly, some of the very best.
