The nature of the world they live in is compromise and wheeling dealing as is the nature of world politics. So why not have the best wheeler dealer than you can get as opposed to a Bernie Sanders idealist with nothing to back it up with.

Well its a choice between two lying liars in this election, so we have to look at other aspects of their candidacy, such as policies and temperament and general seriousness as a candidate.
The GOP really fucked this up - had they run with Jeb or Rubio, they'd be walking this election given Hillary's unfavourable ratings. Unfortunately, for them, they chose the one candidate, Ted Cruz excepted, who is MORE disliked than her! :D
