Title: Ticket Prices
Post by: 5 Sams on June 07, 2016, 03:57:01 PM
£20stg into the Gerry Arthurs stand in Clones last Sunday...and that was discounted for paying in advance. Then I notice today it is €15euro into the stand in Fitzgerald Stadium this Sunday for the Munster semi final. http://www.kerrygaa.ie/news/10007068/Munster_Semi_Finals_Ticket_Arrangements

Anyone know why the huge difference between the two?

The Munster championship is a joke; now in fairness so was the game in Clones, but not all Ulster games are.

There's a €7 levy on all Ulster tickets to buy chips.

Ticket prices are set by each provincial council aren't they?

Covered Stand price for the Connacht semi finals is €25 should be no more than €15 IMO.

what ever price they are some people are always going to complain and want them cheaper.

Bit of a farce when you can buy advance tickets at a reduced price for one provincial championship and not for another.

Kildare v Wexford was €25, double headers unless minor/senior are a joke as is the Croke Park premium (generally €5-10 extra) , I am going to watch my team, having to pay extra because two other counties are also playing really grinds my gears and it should be the same price whether it's O'Moore Park or Croke Park.

€10 for terrace tickets instead of 20. Current championship ticket prices is one of the main reasons why attendances have dropped by the thousands.

ok were down to a tenner any want them for a fiver?

in the championship attendances go up and down  in relation to match ups where the game is played and how teams are going ETC
for example a Galway mayo count final would probably get 10k more in castlebar than a 1st round game in Galway
like wise there would probably have bee and extra 15 k or more if Dublin laois was in Croke park . but it was foregone for political reasons
