A very mixed league to date, with some surprising results, very competitive so far
Camross struggling a bit for results there Ogie. What's tha story there, lot of county players? No Zane I presume.
County players were all released for last 2 rounds, they've had zane for BK match, RE match & last nights match,
Castletown in flying form too, very competitive at the minute

Young team from what I see on the paper last week. Surely walk the Senior B?
Portlaoise 3.21 The Harps 0.08
Great achievement from Castletown in topping D1.
They must be raging-hot favourites to bounce straight back up to senior; could give Leinster a good rattle too.
Rathdowney/Errill will face Borris/Kilcotton in the semi-final. Should be a good game that.
6 straight losses sees The Harps relegated for next year.
Abbeyleix won 7 from 7 to top D1A. Rosenallis will face Colt in the semi-final.
Ballyfin relegated.
Ballyfin relegated? Is it because they lost to Borris-Kilcotton, because their score difference is much better?

That's my understanding.
Same with Castletown/Borris actually who both won 5 games but Castletown won the game between them.
Well Ballyfin can't blame the dual issue for this one.
Borris Kilcotton top Division 1 and go straight to the final, on score difference,
Castletown v Rathdowney Errill Semi Final
Ballyfin are relegated from Division 1A on the head to head with Borris Kilcotton because it cant go on score difference because Clonaslee conceded games
Always goes on score difference first, then head to head
Have BK received confirmation of same Ogie?
As both teams have finished level on their own; it must go on Head-to-Head not score difference? Had Rathdowney/Errill also taken 10 points (instead of 9) then there would be a 3-way tie and it would go on score difference.
The online tables don't take this into consideration so although they have BK top on score difference, they will in fact finish second I think.
No confirmation received as far as I know Merman,
I was of the belief that score difference is always first call, whether it be two, three or four teams, as per the on line table,
Team that finishes top of table goes to final,
Where would someone see/find the Laois Gaa Regulations ??
This caused frustration before but I remember someone on LaoisTalk (Dangerous Dan I think?) posted the rules and it definitely had Head-to-Head as the first criteria. It's certainly used for the Allianz inter-county leagues too.
Confirmed as of this afternnon
Borris/Kilcotton vs Rathdowney/Errill
Sunday at 6.30 in Mountrath
For years it has been
1) Head to Head
2) Scoring Difference (unless there has been a walkover)
3) Scores For
4) Play Off
In that order.
For juveniles it's a playoff.
Its 6.21 (4) (c) and 6.38 on Pages 91 & 113 of the Official Guide Part 1

Final
Rathdowney/Errill 0.22-0.11 Castletown
Shouldn't detract from what has been a very positive league for Castletown.
R/E, as ever, look to be the team to beat in Senior Championship this year.
Terrible conditions for hurling. Castletown got nearly all scores from frees. R/E were very dominant and were missing a few.
