The last few minutes of the Tipp vs Galway hurling semi.
Honourable mention goes to Maurice Shanahans WLR interview, his recovery, his goals and his Allstar.

Connacht U21 final. Best match I've seen all year. Football played in the correct spirit.

For the neutrals watching it was another senior All Ireland final to forget or few highlights to remember.

Five in a row , a magnificent achievement despite all the negative press it gets with the Galway and Ross are at a low ebb line . (6 would be magistic but it will be getting tougher )

Nope and personally think it very unfair the way some are casting doubt on this Dublin team , could prove to be the best team of all time . Only Donegal caught them unaware in 14 , would of surely got the three in a row .

Was something alright. Fair play to the Fermanagh supporters for being so magnanimous afterwards too. From a neutral perspective Fermanagh's run was the highlight of the season.

Westmeath beating Meath. Am not from either county, but my God, the buzz in Croker and the noise (and the places wasn't even full) in the last 10 minutes and the outpouring of joy at the final whistle...it was just incredible.

The last ten minutes of the semi final replay against Mayo. Unfortunately for a great Mayo team it was a case of so near and yet so far.

Waterford beating Cork in Munster hurling semi final to follow up on win over them a few weeks earlier in league final. Tom Devine's clinching goal in last minute led to big celebrations in the crowd and put us back in Munster final.
Outside of that Westmeath v Meath game was great with, high scoring, attacking football and an amazing comeback and you could see how much it meant to them to finally beat Meath in the championship.
Overall not too many standout moments this year in hurling or football.

The Galway Tipp AI semi final was the only highlight of 2015. Brilliant from start to finish. Good finish to the meath westmeath match too. Roll on 2016 after a forgetful year.

Galway - Tipp All Ireland semi-final, with all the rubbish this year in the county football a reminder of what makes GAA great. Football is crying out for the same. Football club championship is good though.

Two cracking games played in awful conditions. The under 21 football final and the Ulster club championship final.  Says alot about the senior inter county championship which didn't really produce any lasting memories

This seems to be the stock phrase about last year. There was plenty of cracking moments in the inter county season. Off the top of my head...
Westmeath v Meath
Kerry v Cork drawn game
Dublin v Mayo both games
Donegal v Tyrone
Kerry v Tyrone
Laois v Antrim
Fermanagh v Roscommon
Donegal's first half v Armagh was as good as you'd see anywhere
Mayo's first half performance v Sligo was just incredible
Fermanagh's performance v Dublin

Honorable mention to the goal scored by Cathal Dunbar for wexford u21 v offaly. Worth checking out on YouTube. Goal of the season in hurling.

I was more responding to this well trotted out claim that there was no memorable moments from this years championship. Granted, it wasn't the best but there was plenty of decent action.

Best football game Galway were involved in this year was the U-21 final in Tuam v Ros'. Absolutely terrific match. Real shame Rossies couldn't go on to win a final they were well capable off.

Austin Gleeson's belter of a score in the League final. He hared down the right touchline from his own half, evading a challenge by the simple expedient of catching the ball and running past his opponent. This left him with the dilemma of not being able to catch it again so he simply swatted it over on the run. Each and every Déisigh in Thurles went absolutely potty. Even now, thinking about it makes me giddy. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things...

One of those all too few games where you're so wrapped up in events that you lose all sense of atmosphere and surroundings. The Hill was in full flow for us that day apparently. Like your man in Fever Pitch I spent most of the second half giving out that they were only giving us hope to have it crushed again. A special day.

The U21 hurling championship is the most exciting of all hurling for the last few years, some real humdinger games in Munster and Leinster all the way through.

The Tipp/Galway semifinal where both managers went 15 on 15 and it could go either way was the standout game of this years hurling championship by some way sadly.

Hopefully Derek McGrath in Waterford and Davy/Donal O'g will take the handbrake off their two very talented squads and let their forwards play in forward positions we could see a real good championship next year.

As a Laois man there's only 1 winner........the final whistle in the Laois v Offaly hurling game.
