Tipp very big favourites 1/6. Brilliant having it as a triple header, pretty confident if we perform to a good standard we will have too much for louth, looks like we have a good number of players who are touch and go to make it though and midfield is where we are struggling with injuries particularly
Just checked again and tipp 1/8 with paddy power. Evens +6 points for louth with looks really tempting
Where is the game?
Thurles, 2.45 on Sat.
Wonder do the bookies need to reassess Tipp's chances a bit given Kerry's poor performance yesterday? Fairly miserable looking odds they are quoting.
Tipp conceded 2-14 against Kerry versus's Cork 2-15
There's a small danger that Tipp are being overrated a bit. They are definitely progressing, but at the end of the day, they are still a division 3 team, albeit one that has serious ambition and is working towards a lot better than that.
I'm not sure 3rd place in Division 3 is that much better than another division 3 team.
Would be really surprised if Tipp don't win.
Would expect to see Tipp win this very comfortably, provided of course, that no complacency sets in.
Would expect Tipp to win but 6 points seems like a big spread although I guess home advantage will be worth a couple of points. Would love to head down for the weekend and take in both Saturday & Sunday games
Crazy odds for this, tipp now 1/10 and 11/10 -8. We are struggling big time around midfield for fitness. George hannigan is out, Stephen o brien is a massive doubt and Colin o riordan is also a slight doubt
Louth (SFC v Tipperary): Craig Lynch; Padraig Rath, Dessie Finnegan, Anthony Williams; Declan Byrne, Darren O'Hanlon, Adrian Reid; Tommy Durnin, James Califf; Bevan Duffy, Paraic Smith, Conal McKeever; Ryan Burns, Colm Judge, Ronan Holdcroft.

Is that Bevan son of Gavin. Smashing rugby player if it is, any good at football?
I hope Louth don't damage the surface of Tom Semple's Field for all the hurling matches afterwards.

Handicap def looks tempting if those 3 are missing. One thing about Tipp is that with the young age profile, there isnt exactly much in the way of panel depth - even a few injuries to the key players can seriously hit the overall strength of the challenge they can bring.
The other thing is I'm not a bit sure Tipp have sorted out the issue relating to the high number of goals/goal chances they concede. They are a side with a very bad habit of conceding multiple goals - in the 9 games played this year so far they have only kept a clean goal sheet in 2 games - 1 of which was against a dire Waterford side, 2 games where they conceded 1 goal, 4 games where they conceded 2 goals and 1 game where they conceded 3 goals. 13 goals in 9 games against mostly Division 3 opposition. They had 2 games in last years championship where they conceded 4 goals.
Tipperary (SFC v Louth): Evan Comerford; CiarĂ¡n McDonald, Paddy Codd, Jimmy Feehan; Seamus Kennedy, Peter Acheson, Alan Campbell; Colin O'Riordan, Ian Fahey; Brian Fox, Conor Sweeney, Liam Casey; Kevin O'Halloran, Michael Quinlivan, Philip Austin.
Stephen o brien a big loss as is George hannigan. Jimmy feehan has been very solid underage the last few years but a big step up now to senior. Delighted to see o halloran starting
I understand your PM now tippabu :)
There's a risk of an upset with that team. Stephen O'Brien, not Colin O'Riordan, is the seniors' driving force and he's a huge loss. Obviously they still have a lot of good, young players, but the likes of Hannigan and O'Brien are big losses from the spine of the team. Hannigan is just a quiet worker, but you need that too. I don't think Liam Casey is ready for this level, and Jimmy Feehan is a player I've worked with. He's very good, and aggressive, but he can be taken one v one.
Oh dear!!!
Time for Louth to go Junior.....
Can see today why Louth and Wexford were relegated to division four last spring.
Stefan White says it's a good job there's no Division five.
Great win for Tipp, missing a few first choice lads, which speaks well of the bit of depth. I was a bit nervous of this, after the bit of a layoff and with the injuries so fair play for being so clinical. Round 3B will be tough with the teams left, but Tipp will give a good account of themselves against most teams.

At least Wexford showed they were better than Down, Louth only beat a county with less people than several of their towns.
Impressive win for Tipp
Creedon quite scathing of Louth. I'm not a big fan of that talking about other teams, but I suppose it makes a change from patronising them.

He needs to go to the Jim Gavin school of post-match comments.
