Title: Women's World Cup
Post by: Jell 0 Biafra on June 08, 2015, 11:19:19 PM
First really fun game today, between Sweden & Nigeria, finishing 3-3, after Sweden led 2-0 and 3-2.  Lucky to hang on for the draw in the end.  If Nigeria could just get a rule change eliminating corners from the game, they might even be contenders!    Some really nice moves going forward from them anyway.

Outrageous stuff in the Thailand v Ivory Coast match today.  3-2 win for Thailand with all three of their goals offside!

Just seen one of the goals which was ridiculous but so was the attempt at goalkeeping. Why can't women be good goalkeepers?

Hope Solo would like a word...

But yeah, don't know what the keeper was up to on that play.

And that Thailand game seemed to have a very liberal interpretation of the offside rule. Jaysus I think the Thais were offside for all 3 goals!

I see Abby Waumbach is crying about the artifical turf and tells us that she is not going to go flat out because of the surface, she is basically blaming the surface on her inability to scorea goal, guess what girl, you are past it and giving 70% at your age gets your arse benched.

Oh yeah, she is a screaming liberal to boot, accountable for nothing the bitch!

If it was men's soccer in that clip of Gab's the guy would have gone down rolling about the place holding his face. Let's hope that kind of behaviour doesn't make its way into the women's game.

I see some Nigerian blade decided to belt Samantha Kerr, sister of Daniel, ex-West Coast AFL player.  Jaysus she's brave; didn't she know he's in court for pouring petrol over a man's living room and threatening to set fire to it?

This is kind of funny. Norwegian internationals taking the piss out of cliches about women's soccer. http://www.dirtytackle.net/2015/06/18/norway-players-in-brilliant-documentary-mocking-stereotypes-of-womens-football/ (http://www.dirtytackle.net/2015/06/18/norway-players-in-brilliant-documentary-mocking-stereotypes-of-womens-football/)

The dirtytackle website is pretty nice too.  Like the bit about Man City players thinking there was a new rule against retaining the premiership.
