Title: Go Pro
Post by: ziggysego on March 11, 2015, 10:58:05 PM
Can't seem to find any Go Pro threads here... Anyway.

Recently got myself a Go Pro for my website and I'm looking for an accessory that will allow it to attach to my wheelchair.

Something similar to this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00T9LUD9Y (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00T9LUD9Y)

However £100 is a crazy price to pay for it and I couldn't justify it with myself. Anyone know of anything similar I can use or where to find one cheaper?

Try Aliexpress they are usually a lot cheaper but you'll be waiting a while for delivery.
Would something like this work?

Do yoy not still have to buy the clamp or whatever separately to attach it to your chair. Read the smallprint on that one as it may be *just* the gooseneck for 15 quid.

Would a go pro be any use for video games so you could reviw it later for compiling stats?
I suppose gettinga  suitable high viewing point ofr it might be the biggest issue?

Not being smart or anything, but why would you fit a go pro on a wheelchair ziggy? Actually come to think of it, why would you have a go pro in your normal daily life for any reason?

I run a website called My Way Access (www.mywayaccess.com (http://www.mywayaccess.com)) which is all about disabled access. This is just another avenue I am developing. Plus, I'm putting together a little project for the summer time.

But what's the camera for? To record bad facilities? I'm aware of your mywayaccess, it's a great idea and well done on it.

No, not to record bad access. To put together vblogs etc... that I am working towards, to open able-bodied people's eyes to see what the world is like from the point of view of someone with a disability.

Nice idea Ziggy.  Would you consider doing a short documentary?  Or will it be a series of shorter clips and scenarios?

Shorter clips and scenarios. Hope if they are well received, I can do a documentary. That's a long term plan though.

No probs. Hope it does the trick.

Not sure if this belongs in a new thread.  Does anyone have a dashboard camera or recommend one?
