Season tickets not worth it. Realistically most fans would maybe attend 4/5 league games. 6 at a stretch. You can buy NFL tickets for £9/€10 now, so it's a lot cheaper to buy individually.

If you're in Kerry or Dublin, Mayo etc that's fine as you'll get an AI final ticket, but what's the point if you're from the lesser counties?

If they had a League only ticket, I'd be interested, as I would know which league games I can attend well in advance. With the championship/qualifiers, you could be in Waterford one week, Cork the next. And if you don't attend, you'll be charged anyway! Feck that.

€10 rise a bit steep >:( . 13% or so and inflation at 1%?
We'll be getting the London and (hopefully) Connacht Semi Final included next year.

The Season Ticket plus Club is great value when you are from a county like Armagh who charge €10 into first round championship double headers and qualifers. There is a good 8-10 week spell where there is games on in Athletic grounds Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This year i limited myself to one per weekend as the prices were scandalous. As i would go to a few league games home and away and championship games for Armagh, i will definitely be getting the Season Ticket plus Club.

Armagh has been known to have representation in the Club finals on Paddy's day too. That said the Div 3 league games this year won't be packed, getting a seat won't be problem, but you could have a divisional final to go there too.

The club + in Mayo anyway is the the same as Mayo's "Cairde Mhaigheo" ticket but for Croke park season ticket holders. It entitles you to club match's in your county and costs €200 here in Mayo. Not sure if its run in other counties, maybe the Parnell pass in Dublin might be similar?

I could go to Dublin matches under lights on the Saturday and then Westmeath matches on the Sun. Also includes entry for the club and league finals.

Will definitely be renewing with 4 games at home next year (a rarity for us) and the away games being Cavan, Kildare and Eastmeath.

Jamedy, that's handy travel schedule for Westmeath, easy on the diesel.

Nice change from trips to Derry, Omagh and Cork last year alright. Division 1 is going to be tough on the diesel this year, trips to all corners of the country. Derry, Donegal, Tyrone, Monaghan, Mayo, Kerry, Cork and Dublin.

Also find it insulting that the early bird runs out on 31st of October (a full 2 feckin months until the official new season) and 10 quid is added. Surely this should be held to at least the 31 Dec to appeal to the 'Daddys Xmas present' market

The value has being diminishing the last few years. Was great value when league matchs were €15, reduced to €13 then and you can now buy €10 tickets in supervalue. If anything they should be reducing the season ticket by €10!

Agreed. 7 games x €10 is €70. Only a handful of counties will get to a nfl final. Most fans won't get to all league games, so then thats €15 for the first c'ship game (which is the usual cost anyway). Ok it gets you into other counties games and club finals, but that's not to everyone's liking or convenience. So I honestly don't see the value. And you're right, if anything, the cost should be reduced.

thats to give existing holders a head start on renewal before they release them for general sale.
i know all mayo tickets were sold out/
I suppose on question is why is there a limit?
and also Why do Super value customers get a discount for the league?

Doesn't make mush sense upping the season ticket price.
Its very little incentive to those counties who don't make the All Ireland Final.

€85 now.
We have 3 home games. If I make 2 away games, individually I would only pay €50 for those 5 games. Ticket into the first round of the Ulster championship is €20.
so for the benefit of a season ticket I will be paying at least €15 (+admin fee) extra.

On top of that the Ulster championship tickets that season ticket holders received were very bad seats (Clones). Those who paid at the gate could choose to sit at the unreserved seats of the Pat McGrane while season ticket holders had to endure terrible seats in row A, 20m line, in the Gerry Arthur stand.

Season tickets is a must if you are from Dublin/Mayo/Kerry etc to guarentee decent Croke Park All Ireland final tickets, but none for the remainder of the counties.

Yeah the seating is an issue too. If we made it to Croke Park, I'd always try to ensure we was covered in case of rain (and a decent view of the match). I don't want to be stuck in Row A.

If the Mayo STs sell out again, which could happen, there will be lots of Cáirde Mhaigh Eo ticket holders really angry I'm sure. There's a lot of anger over on WJ's blog about not buying the CM tickets and instead getting CP ones instead, well if they sell out again, there won't be any spares will there?

Would the increase in Season ticket prices indicate that the GAA will announce in January that League tickets are going to stop the early purchase discount where you can but the ticket the day before in Supervalue for €10?

At the minute I am likely to attend 6 out of seven league matches (I aim for 7 but always something comes up). That means I can pay €60 total at Supervalue. So the Season ticket no longer means value for money, it is a break even situation. The only advantage is if you really will go to lots of games from other counties. I would, but my fine lady would not be impressed.

So for me there will be no season ticket this year

In Donegal, for the All Ireland final there was a break down of Ticket allocations, and it was noted there were  800 season ticket holders of which 400 were entitled to an all-ireland final ticket.

I half recall the cap going up to 1000 season tickets per county a few years back. But cant quote a source for it.

Seems Croke Park have taken over the running of the Cáirde Mhaigheo season ticket in Mayo. Like the Croke Park ticket, the benefits this year seems to have been reduced. And they will have to attend 60% of games to qualify for an All Ireland (should we ever get there again!  :P )

It now seems that any Croke Park season tickets not renewed will not be offered for sale. It effectively means that they are reducing the number of season tickets for Mayo (and possibly Dublin if any of those are not renewed) Is there anyone here that still has not renewed their Mayo or Dublin season tickets and have you still the option to renew for €95?
Title: Re: 2015 Season Ticket
Post by: rosnarun on November 18, 2014, 08:11:31 PM
i suspect the county board are b;locking the €95 tickets so they can sell the €200 one and keep the difference.
I fail to see why they would not sell as many season tickets as possible  esp @€95 after all for most league matches a large majority would bring at least 1 other person who will pay full price

I didn't get the ticket this year. But I'll look back on the email they sent with the hundreds of names from a couple of years ago and pick a likely one.

There also seems to be problems linking the Cairde Mhaigheo season tickets with Croke Park season tickets. We are currently looking into this and waiting for Croke Park to get back to us.

A Chara,

As you know, your 2015 GAA Season Ticket covers entry to the AIB GAA Junior and Intermediate Club Championship Finals at Croke Park on February 14th & 15th.

If you wish to attend the club finals this weekend simply present your Season Ticket card for scanning at the turnstiles. Please note that only the Lower Hogan Stand is open on both days and unreserved seating will be in operation.

No, we don't expect to get to the Al final this year. As Farrandeelin pointed out, its not just Mayo supporters, but all season ticket holders we were informing. As many Mayo season ticket holders know and have experienced from last year, there were a lot of problems scanning tickets particularly at two match's. We had a lot of people contacting us with all the problems they were having trying to get it sorted. We ourselves (particularly one of our admins) went over and beyond the call of duty communicating with Croke Park trying to sort out what was their mistakes. You can view all the details here; http://mayoclub51.com/season-tickets-scanned-cork-match/  and subsequent update here: http://mayoclub51.com/gaa-season-ticket-scanning-problems-an-update/

The reason we are pointing this out is, for this year, in the T&C's if your attendance is not recorded or updated you only have 10 days to contact Croke Park. After that they WILL NOT ENTERTAIN YOU A lot of people do not realize this!
Title: Season Ticket self scanning in McHale Park
Post by: Mayo Club 51 on February 25, 2015, 10:44:40 PM

It is very disappointing that a man so supposedly committed to investigating debt in Irish society should be so blasé about such huge debts that exist within his own county board.

There were some people alright whose attendance was not updated. Seems a scanner was misplaced. Most were updated on Friday. Make sure to check your account and e-mail them to complain if not updated. You only have 10 days from when the match was played to ensure your attendance is corrected (from this years T&C's, here http://mayoclub51.com/members/downloads/ )

The juvenile ticket will automatically default to an adult ticket if the child is not longer entitled to the juvenile ticket.  I have recently had the same query regarding my son's ticket and was told that. Can i ask what age the child is though?  If they're still 16 on the 1st of January 2016 you'll get another year as a juvenile for them.  My daughter turned 16 in November last year so i thought i wouldn't be entitled to the juvenile ticket for 2015 and was all set to have to pay the adult price but got the juvenile again.

Not sure why your calling it grab all association. The scheme clearly set out from the start that people who go to majority of games should get final tickets. They were quite clear with the 60 pet cent bit. I'm not sure exactly what your complaint is.

Exactly squire, they're very explicit about the 60% attendance -- do you expect to be treated differently from everyone else?

Dublin have played 15 games this year. To qualify you have to have went to 9 of those.  Dont know how you have been to 57% games unless you have been to 8 of them and that you used your opt out option so are not considering this game so 8/14 = 57%.  Although its not clear how they treat the opt out in the calculation.  Its a bit harsh if they are not considering the opt out.

Grab all me hole. 60% is on the low side if you ask me, should be 80%.

Easy lads I'm on having a whinge, allow me that  ;)

My gripe was that and I should have explained was that everybody was marked as attending the Mayo game in castlebar (technical glitch) thus someone who had a similar attendance to mine would have been pushed into the 60 percintile, even if they had not attended, more power to them !!

Absolutely flawed system in my opnion, I have a family pass for tayto park and all our photos are linked to the card.

I see lower cusack tickets for sale at 1500 a pop online on viagogo

If they went down the photo route though Squire it could stop other people being able to use your card and help you keep your attendance % up?!

I don't give my tickets to anyone, that's why I think the system is flawed, I mean they say its a season ticket but you have no photo linked to it being you and you could in theory tout the tickets to your hearts content

Alas its me and t.v on the 20th, the only plus I can think of is if I had got the same tickets for 2013 final, back row in 406, beside wheelchair users and were everyone gathers from the bars and canteen, awful seats

I'm not sure how much you'd make touting league games or pre-semi final tickets tbh

Maybe you should reconsider giving your tickets to someone to use next year (friends/family - I'm not suggesting you sell it to the highest bidder)? You wouldn't be in the predicament you're in now if you did???

I may return to the Parnell pass instead of the season ticket

Tickets arrived.  705 row Z  :( Don't get me wrong, delighted to have a ticket but so much for rewarding loyalty! 93% attendance and I'm shoved up in the back row in the upper tiers when my friend who has just about made it with just barely over the 60% attendance is 16 rows in front of me in 706.

Ah well - at least I'm there! #thinkpositive

No, Season Tickets tend to between blocks 304 - 307 in lower and 704 - 707 in the upper.  My ticket is a Championship Upper Tier ticket, all league and Leinster I'm in the lower but once the business end comes around and they start to sell out I get moved to the Upper tier (which i did know when I bought it), would just like them to reward attendance fairly!

I see the GAA have finally begun to clamp down on touting.

"It has come to our attention that a Parnell Pass Hill 16 ticket is for sale online at a price above face value. This ticket has since been cancelled and is not valid for Sunday's game"

And I read somewhere else that undercover gardai will be out and about sunday before the game to catch touts and they have the authority to confiscate tickets that are being sold for above face value.

I think that's only right and proper!

But it got me thinking, what happens to these confiscated tickets (or cancelled parnell pass hill 16 tickets)? Can they be re-issued to genuine fans? or do the seats end up being left empty?
