That's how good Dublin are.

The GAA.ie 'Team of the Season So Far' was picked by the GAA.ie editorial team, with help and advice from some former players and pundits. It does not reflect the views of the Association.

Talk about covering yourself.

Dublin could get at least 10 all stars this year IMO.

or they could lose to donegal and be lucky to get one all-star
who ever wins will probably between 5 and 9 picks same as ever
last 3 years its been
2013 dub 6
2012 DON 8
2011 dub 6
the exception being cork in 2010

Not sure anybody has won one yet, perhaps JOD, connolly or flynn. The two losing semi finalists will probably get 1-2 between them

No team has dominated a season in the same way as Dublin have this year.

Great to see Andy Mallon here, he contributed hugely to any improvement in Armagh this year.

Hennelly's penalty save against Galway is about the best save of the year to date. Keith Higgins wouldn't be far off a 3rd All-Star if they were handed out now as well. The Monaghan corner-back Walsh will be close too, other than that, probably not too far off.

''No team has dominated a season in the same way as Dublin have this year.''

Statement can only be made when championship is finished and becomes null and void unless they have sam under the oxter, obviously..

Last year we beat:

Galway by 17 points (in Salthill)
Roscommon by 12
London by 16

Followed by the All-Ireland champions
Donegal by 16

And we only played two games at home.  ;D

But it doesn't matter a sh*ite in August.

When I saw Loughrey get an "honourable mention" at corner back I almost didn't bother reading the rest.

Suffice to say, there's a few of those lads who obviously are likely to get Allstars, but the Dublin fullback line for example, have had zero testing, so no idea how they all get mentioned.

Until there is some proper scoring and performance weighting system put in place for Allstars (as there is in AFL for example) then it will continue to be slightly tainted..not to mention of course, some of the clueless hacks who get to pick the team instead of having recently retired players like the AFL have.

What do you mean by this? The All Australian team is picked by a panel at the end of the season, much as the All-Stars is.

Do the points you see in match reports for each player not count towards something no? That's the impression I got, maybe I was wrong.

Yeah Loughrey must be some kind of joke. Think they're being a little generous to O'Carroll, didn't think he was great against Monaghan, but then there's not a lot of great full-backs around. Fail to see what Conor Sweeney has done to merit a mention, unless it's based on the league, in which case fair enough.

Why is Cian O'Sullivan in a suit?

That list of players is a load of rubbish, where is Cregger on it? The greatest player of his generation or maybe ever according to your tales of greatness about him, he was pulling up trees on the pitch in the heat of fbd games in january and the early stages of the league when it really mattered  ;D ;D January is when a player should be judged on their greatness not in august and september

This is an outrage.
