Title: Wikipedia Fun
Post by: Nally Stand on May 28, 2013, 11:55:55 PM
Someone on the Donegal v Tyrone thread mentioned the Ross Wherrity wiki page earlier which talks about his "disappearances", his hair and includes in his honours "1 Mc Ginley's Bar 'Tueday Night Pub Quiz' - General Knowledge *5th Runner-up (June 2010)" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ross_Wherrity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ross_Wherrity)

Any really good wiki entries out there?

Some fella had one hell of a run on the entire Donegal GAA suite of articles after the AI final, likely under the influence of something more than sheer joy:

The last one doesn't mention any of Jimmy's miracles.

Some of the older versions of a couple of the Tyrone club wikipedia entries were of a similar nature.

Derrytresk
From Aug 2011 - Michael Rea and Cathal O'Neill are all McRory cup winners Michael Rea also has a Hogan cup winners medal. Niall Gavin was a part of the Tyrone minor panel in 2009. Patrick Muldoon has since left gaelic football to run a successful duck shooting range in Clonmore, with his valiant dog , Doodles.

Donaghmore
From Aug 2011 - Just like the period of time itself, the beginning of the 1960s to the end of the 1980s saw an enormous change for Donaghmore GFC. One of these changes was big hetherington parted his hair fairly nicely(learnt in his days in the convent) and they painted the changing rooms a rather nice pink colour.

Errigal Ciaran
From Sept 2009 - The club has also produced many illustrious players, such as [[Peter Canavan]],portly eamon (mongo) Mc Caffery, and seamus Mallon and the current Tyrone Manager, [[Mickey Harte]] started his managerial career guiding Errigal to Ulster Championship success. A little known fact is that they are all a bunch of arrogant homos

Kildress
From July 2010 - Kildress have won the Traith na gCeist 3 years in a row (2006,2007,2008) With 5 different men: Barney Conway(2), Thomas Girvin(2), Shane Mallon AKA Pat sibling of Fr. Fearghal, Brother Phelim and Sister Alisha. Shane (Pat) is now 17 so you will see him on the highways and byways in a 306 but not any 306 a D-Turbo lak

Pomeroy
From Nov 2012 - Pomeroy have only had one player of note over the last 20 years, that being the great JJ Cavanagh who is soon to be inducted into the pomeroy hall of fame wall, amid renewed calls to retire his number 5 jersey forever(as who can fill those lofty shoulders in that jersey!)

Interestly, just for fun and out of sheer badness, I vandalised a Wikipedia page.

A minute later it was back to its original form, and fixed by some bloke who hails from India.

The key to making them stick is putting a quare sentence in the middle of an existing paragraph and then putting in a BS serious explanation in the little optional bar to explain your edit.

Just don't do something totally obvious, like saying all Down people hail from Mars or adding a senior All-Ireland to Mayo's roll of honour.
