Kildare would be better off losing tomorrow night.
Not in Kildare's case - their next game would be against a team that had put themselves together with a meaningful win.
Wicklow and Carlow on the other hand - they'd definitely be better off losing, or at the very least, fielding a half strength experimental team.

I see what you mean, I didn't pay attention to the draw
Kildare Team - if there was betting on it, put a small bet on Aaron McConville to score at least 1 goal, goal machine.

Every forward should be looking to raise a green flag against the cats!
It's a crazy system for a provincial championship. If they don't want a straight knockout then surely some type of round robin format with the top four going into semi finals would be better.

The system is ridiculous. The last time Towers had this many minors playing was back in 91, last time we won Leinster, good omen hopefully.

Disgraceful entering a Kilkenny team. Of no use to Kildare and definitely no use to Kilkenny. Time for the Cats to pack in this football Lark, unless the powers that be can find a competition they could enter in that would be their level. The worst thing for them is there is a back door, which means another day of humiliation.
There's a backdoor every year in this, but Kilkenny only ever field a team in their qualifier if they show something in the first round game. They never do when they get a beating of this magnitude.
Offaly played them last year on a Friday night in Ballyragget - Kilkenny's named captain on the programme failed to show, and I was informed it was because he had hurling training with his club that night.
Word of warning for Kildare - if I'm not mistaken on eight of the last nine occasions, the team that beat Kilkenny lost the next round and went straight out, no doubt in part because of the absence of a proper game.

Priorities. But they might just have been winding you up.

Am I missing something here?? From what I read above, you have three winners into the QF and two losers joining them via the backdoor? Is there a final losers round missing above??

The six first round winners go straight into the quarter finals. Two more teams will join them after the second losers round.
D'oh!
Louth and Dublin gone into extra time. Finished 1-6 apiece.
Louth 1-07 Dublin 1-09
Westmeath 1-10 Wexford 0-10
Wicklow 2-14 Carlow 2-08
3-1 to Dublin in extra time. Good defences or poor forwards?
Is it an open draw for the quarter-finals?
