Title: pigeon problem
Post by: snoopdog on April 06, 2013, 08:49:25 PM
Hi all have an issue with pigeons nesting in a tree at back of garden. They poo everywhere. Have a 2 year old boy who loves the garden. I need to get rid of pigeons. Tree is a massive Leyland. Any ideas apart from poison. All ideas welcome

Get a cat

or

buy a plastic owl and tie it to the tree. You see similar on golf courses

Is it Illegal to poison them? Don't really want the local cats eating the dead poisoned birds though.
Tree is in next doors garden. She keeps saying she is gonna do something but never does.
Might try the plastic owl for a starter

Yup, the owl is the man. I've seen ones that have a head that pivots in the wind, just to make it more realistic. Saw one across the way from a diner one time and I had to ask the waitress if it was real.

You could also stuff the tree with fake pigeons!

Get a cat
I think I'd rather have a pigeon problem than get one of those horrible creatures.
