Former Dublin Senior Football captain Paddy Christie announced as Dunshaughlin Senior manager for 2013.

He seemed a lot older than everybody else even when he was playing. I always had a lot of time for Paddy. No nonsense and the antithesis of the cheeky Dub. He'll feel at home in Meath football.

Now that you mention it, I think I knew once that he had Meath blood. Christie is a strong Meath name.

Heard of fantastic work he did with Ballymun at underage level over the years.

Nice handy commute for him too. Wish him the best of luck with it.
